Wrong!! Lol. It is the Labrador in it. poodles are smart amazing dogs I had them for 15 years. Mine were not at all destructive. Keep in mind any puppy will chew and do puppy things for the first six months to the first year. All dogs. And some mature, much slower than others and will be that way for at least two years, especially dogs like labradors. But if your dog is left alone all the time and they get bored what do you expect them to do? Any dog will do that kind of thing. Mine were never destructive, and I had two of them for as I said 15 years. I didn't leave them home alone all the time either.

@@Ahhh_Coffee totally could’ve just been a quirk of our dog, I’m just going by what I’ve heard that poodles are “high energy”. Golden retrievers don’t really have that reputation (as far as I know). Ours lived with us (I’m a stay at home mom and my hubby works from home) on 20 acres, got lots of socializing and exercising - he still ate socks, got into the trash, etc all the time 😅🤷‍♀️

@HollyHomebody in my experience poodles are not high energy as in they tear stuff up. They are lively happy dogs. Intuitive sensitive, loving, and funny extremely smart. My poodle was trying to play all the way up until just a couple of months before he died at the age of 12. Neither one of my poodles tore anything up in their entire lives. But I was also home with them a lot. Can they get bored? Sure -- any dog can get bored poodles are very smart. And when you're smart, you need things to do. Actually, goldens are pretty hyper the first couple years of their life. So are labs - they can very destructive. I once had a dog before years ago that was fully hell trained, but she had separation anxiety, and she would make a mess in the house if left alone. So I got a second dog problem solved. Sometimes it's just loneliness.

Except for when he talks about beating his dog that shit ain't funny.

And no dog poop to step in or have to clean up. Paper train females who squat to pee. Males spray all over the place. Pee outside kills the grass. Dogs in grass bring in fleas and ticks. Ours stay inside or on our decks.

Pete did not seem like a great dog owner for obvious reasons. But, that is kind of a big jump to presume Sebastian and his family would abandoned their dog just because they don't like it that some strangers dog peed on their sofa (untrained).

@DougPerry-ih1zq so I had two standard poodles, which were the best pals I could've asked for for 15 yrs. For age and compassion, I had to put my oldest standard poodle to sleep this January but I did so in my home with the vet that came out and then in the comfort of a relaxed atmosphere. She passed on. Prior to that I lost her brother the year before he was 12 and a standard poodle died in my home after another home vet visit, but we weren't sure what was happening. Well he passed naturally ... longest night of my life. and I still cry to think about how much I miss that dog. It is a lifetime commitment and it's an expensive one. It's hard to have healthy animals these days. I don't think I'm getting anymore. I'm too old. And times are too weird. Besides. They can't be replaced. I've had animals my whole life, but I think these were my last. Sebastian has a comedian ... so he's making light of a very common thing. But have you heard him speak about how he feels about being loyal to his friends, his family, his business partners, and his wife? He's not likely to mistreat a dog or to dump one just because it peed somewhere. He's not an idiot. He knows puppies are gonna make messes chew things up, etc.. my concern with it is how much they travel and will they be able to take the dog with them versus the dog having to stay behind with some pet sitter who's only gonna be there so often ... dogs are part of the family and they do not like to be left behind.

@@Ahhh_Coffee WOW so sorry for your loss of your very much loved ones . I can offer the very same feelings when I lose my family pets . I'm very sure that our friend the comedian will surely ask his doctor for a emotional support letter so as to make it much easier for his pet weather it's a monkey or a beautiful goldfish or even a teacup Chihuahua to fly free... The main thing I hope our friend the comedian picks the perfect pet that makes the awesome fit for the family happy. Question to you are you family to our friend the comedian , if so help them find the pet because that's going to be one lucky pet for sure 😃

@DougPerry-ih1zq Nope - I do not personally know Sebastian, the comedian or any of his friends or family members. And I am a nurse. I'm not involved in Hollyweird or TV lol. I'm just someone on the Internet. :) and I highly doubt that he or anyone of his family reads these comments. But I did leave a separate comment suggesting that they visit the AKC shows in their area and speak to the actual breeders so that they can learn about the various breeds, etc.. I don't think he'd go wrong with the poodle, but I think he might find he's a little disappointed in the mixed breed he mentioned, because he declared they are non-shedding and this is not necessarily true . And because they're a little bit more unpredictable. I mean if he just wants a tuxedo dog like he said there's plenty of dogs with tuxedo like coats, including poodles. (yes I know this is not allowed in AKC shows, but it is allowed in some other circuits or at least it was years ago). But --they're just gonna have to do what everyone else does which is research and take their time. Hopefully they will. If you listen to the things in his comedy he sounds like he's pretty practical thinking doesn't he? Fingers crossed that they end up with a good match and have a lot of fun with their new pet. I have to admit if you've seen their house in vids ...Yikes.... hopefully they put down lots of rugs because it's gonna be hard for any dog walking on that floor --they're gonna slip all over. And hard on joints....marble. Eeks.
