I always wanted to make a "Best of Gale" video. It's clips that I have collected along the early access, and I have plenty more still that I didn't show here, but the video was already 20 minutes long... :) A good dose of sarcastic, fluffy, sexy, angsty Gale in one!

These are just some of the clips I love! There were so many I had to leave in the cutting board because I wanted to publish this before the launch. This is just me showing my love for him, obviously the launch can change a lot, but atleast I enjoyed the early access a lot! :)

I really hate they scrapped so many good lines. I was looking for some of my favourite Astarion lines but nowhere to be found. "You're not a stranger anymore. Just strange"

EA Gale’s dry wit comes off as so condescending because he’s not smiling most of the time-when you interact with the artefact, his quips make him sound like he thinks you’re a neanderthal fumbling with an iphone, but in full release he’s smiling so it comes off more as a “Ah, magic is so quirky, isn’t it? Don’t blame you for not understanding this weird object.”

I have always loved him ever since my first playthrough when early access started, but yeah, his release look is definitely much better than it was back in those days.

I wish there was a way to ensure you got certain character inputs aside from having them be the only other party member, but ah well. Some of these dialogues have been changed too from their EA versions so that's another reason you might not have encountered them

I _loved_ it, thanks! The first clip, when he says "No offense" to Astarion who replies "Only a _little_ taken •pouts obviously•" is the stuff I wish they had more often. The characters only interact with Tav, but rarely with each other. I always laugh at the clown-scene, when the other party members approve when you throw one of them under the bus. Feels like friendship. Or when you ask Lae'zel before freeing her to "say please" and Astarion and Shadowheart immediately approve. Feels like I can hear them snickering gleefully in my back, trying to keep it low. But honestly, the first moment I pulled Gale from the stone and he was funny, knowledgeable, very friendly, had a cat and a library and wasn't ashamed of his outstanding talent, I wanted to carry him to camp like a princess. Gifted people get a lot of shit from their peers, so they often turn somewhat bitter over the years (as if being gifted was a shameful, outrageous thing), yet he bears that people will view him as arrogant (however natural he tries to behave), with humour. I mean, being gifted can be quite lonely, because you can rarely talk about your thing(s) with others (often, you're not even allowed to be proud of your things), then being somewhat ostracised for it on the other hand ... sucks. I so love that he always tries to find a positive way through things, to grasp a normal social life, while still being gifted and funny and a bookworm. I so love this character!

IM SOBBING, Is this interaction up to 0:23 REMOVED from the final game? ITS SO GOOD, WHY DON'T THE COMPANIONS INTERACT MORE LIKE THIS? AAAAAAAAAAA!! Usually its just banter when walking ;_; But man, so many good lines cut for Gale, wtf Larian =(

I miss the Perhaps dialogue. Kind of sad they took it out since it was tied to the Loss scene by the campfire.

The serendipity dialogue is still in the game, you have to fail a roll in the weave scene to get it. But the perhaps dialogue was probably top 3 favorite moments for me so I'm really sad that's not in thr game anymore.

idk what it is about his final face that is just so much better, but omg I am so happy they didn't stick with his previous look. His older model almost gave uncanny valley? Like someone made a human face that somehow doesn't look like anyone I've met and yet looks like everyone I've met at the same time.

I wonder if they have any plans to fit some of these back in. There's a lot of non-specific extra banter that feels like it didn't need to be cut!

EA gale's look was not bad, I actually preferred it to the new look for a while. I think one thing I wish they hadn't completely removed was the shadows under his eyes, because it made sense that Gale wasn't sleeping well and was feeling ill.

This is all from early access so quite a huge amount isn't in the game anymore. I think both of the conversations I have in this one aren't obtainable in the game anymore, or atleast I haven't been able to trigger them.

A lot of these have been changed since the early access - I think majority of this video's clips are unattainable now due the changes, like the tiefling party romance, dream visitor stuff, how his condition progresses and rewriting his confession about Mystra.

EA Gale Was such a tease! I loved everything he said about their night together. It seems like he's a lot more awkward and less sarcastic now. Even though I like both versions of him, I think I prefer him being a little snarky. ☺️

Hahah it was the old morning after the first dream from your dream visitor. There used to be a cutscene before going to sleep that showed all of them being really sick and thinking about maybe they are going to transform.
