Hondo Harrelson recruits Jim Street to join an elite unit of the Los Angeles Police Department. Together they seek out more members, including tough Deke Kay and single mom Chris Sanchez. The team's first big assignment is to escort crime boss Alex Montel to prison. It seems routine, but when Montel offers a huge reward to anyone who can break him free, criminals of various stripes step up for the prize.

Thank You I was hoping I wasn’t the only one who had a WTH moment.. I knew what my eyes saw but I had to rewatch it two more times for my brain to process the dumb things uneducated actors producers and editors do without a consultant or expert

Aircraft Mech here. I don't believe he did. That switch has three positions. Down (locked) Up (Locked) and the middle position which is "armed" and indicated by the lighting "Unsafe". It does look like its in the wrong position, but that could just be a bad camera angle, I dont know. In the armed position, the landing gear will automatically retract when a WoW indication occurs (Weight off Wheels). This tells the aircraft computer "Hey, I'm in the air, I need my gear up to eliminate parasite drag". Which considering the kind of high climb out maneuver they are attempting, it would be critical to eliminate any source of drag as quickly as possible once off the ground. The fact that the "unsafe" lights illuminated is kind of a dead giveaway that he armed the gear. Only worked on a few Learjets in my time, but this is a standard feature on most aircraft that have autopilot and other automated systems. Most major airliners, for example, have such a feature. The lollipop (the handle) has up, armed, and down positions.

Actually, an anti-personnel mine like the Claymore was a good call to slow pursuit. He possibly didn't know the details of Street's SEAL background (implied to be demo). You are right about the cars, as it allowed 20-David to breach the secondary line.
