I'm a foreigner resident in Ireland for a long time... when I arrived to Ireland years ago, the government checked all my documentation, and they also asked if I have criminal records or debts or any issues in my home country...I passed a long trip with all my papers (my bank account statement, my job, my previous jobs, they checked everything) ...and this "refugees" (or whatever they are) are welcome without checking anything, government help them, provide food, pocket money and place to live...is NOT FAIR

shocking treatment of local resident

This is the way the system works ! Migrants arrive here in Ireland with no travel documents . They are not successful at their asylum application. They are not successful at the appeal. A deportation order is issued As they have no travel documents they are interviewed in the presence of a Garda by a representative of the Embassy of the country they say they are from to see if they are one of their nationals. The Embassy establish they are not from the country they claim to be from. They then cannot then be deported ……….wait for it ! They are then given leave to remain in Ireland legally on humanitarian grounds as they cannot be deported. They then wait until the undocumented numbers rise out of control and an amnesty is given by the government. They then apply for all their relatives to join them here in Ireland under family reunification and then when they are here legally long enough apply for Irish Citizenship. These migrants are going no where !
