When I first heard about CGB’s historic brawl vacation, I was skeptical of the format and a little disappointed to miss out on standard content. However after watching every historic brawl video from this month to completion, I can happily say it’s my new favourite format, and I’m going to miss the daily content. Thank you CGB.

These daily historic brawl videos got me into the format on arena, and it is now my favourite format. It has also made me seriously consider getting into commander at my LGS. As a byproduct of that, looks like I’m watching the commander content on CovertGoCrew now. Sad these videos are going to end but excited for what the new set will bring. Cheers CGB.

Rusko is just frustrating because it belongs in the hell queue but goes against more casual decks in the normal queue and secondarily it feels like so many people play it that it’s practically every 3rd match I queue against.

I Play a reanimator version but with distributive hate bears as well. One thing is that I play 3 2mana double strikers. The ability really scales with raffines ability, much more than the usual evasive creatures would do.

19:46 Thats german and means "Spruce!". Dont know why you would name yourself that but given that the spruce is having a hard time due to weather conditions it does fit he plays Uro with that name.

What about a emblem, that's something like a bag of holding, reads something like, once per turn, you may choose one or two, exchange a basic land for a card in your hand Exchange a land for a card in exile. So you could even exchange lands? Is this too busted?

You know who else rusko hates? Ognis the dragons lash. Constant hasty pressure usually is pretty good against it

The problem with Rusko is that it's just so dull to play against unless you have built a deck specifically to target it (or start with an absolute god hand). Plenty of us play off-meta commanders that just make a fun deck but get paired against him regardless. I don't bother with the Rusko games because it's going to be 10 minutes of boredom as a win or a loss.

If every deck that runs in the same queue as Rusko has to be either Rusko or designed to beat him, then he isn't a healthy card for the format. There are plenty of interesting decks that are getting pushed out of the format because they can't beat this funky gnome.

Since you have a deal with Jinny G do you think you could make a once a month shame call out for all the “charming super soft” scoops? Maybe if they get shamed by Jinny they will stop

Ok so there are rusko decks that just run 3 things in there deck: flicker, counter spells and creature removal. You are not getting to win with those because there win con is rusko and they will never run out of counter spells or removal...or clocks. All you really need is a thassa, kitten or helm of the host

I've noticed this with a couple of "anti-Rusko" deck videos. They don't get paired against Rusko. I'm baffled at how bad WotC is at matchmaking. No one's perfect design-wise, but it's been months, and they've done nothing to address the fact that Rusko is just in the wrong queue and the people who play him are 50% grifters getting their dailies from insta-scoops and 50% pubstompers.

I honestly was surprised when I first heard the Rusko complaints. It is powerful, but it is not broken by any means compared to what can be done by several decks in the format. I've maintained a positive winrate against Rusko with a variety of decks. I'd rather see Rusko than Kinnan or Uro any day.
