Tools Used
I used a free digital art program called Medibang Paint Pro to do most of the drawing, and then exported the file to Photoshop CC to make the final colour adjustments. If you're ever on the look out for a really awesome and easy to use digital art program I really highly recommend Medibang! It features a ton of awesome brushes and supports a lot of the basic features that digital artists need u I'll have a link down below to their website!

FAQ
How long did this take?
It varies! If it's a five minute long video, then between 3 to 4 hours. If its between 7-10 minutes, it was probably a bigger piece which can take anywhere between 10-15 hours.
Where did you get that fur textured brush? tinyurl.com/yd...
Where did you get the flat brush?
That one's from the Medibang cloud (click the little cloud shaped button with the arrow at the bottom of box with the list of brushes). There you will find all the additional brushes made by Medibang - plenty of gems to download and test out.
Where did you get all these brushes and textures from?
They're from a mix of stuff! Some of them are made by other artists and you can easily find them just by typing in 'medibang brushes' or 'firealpaca brushes' into Google. Some are brushes that I made myself. Some are actually Photoshop brushes! You can import most Photoshop brushes into Medibang by downloading an ABR Viewer. Since most Photoshop brushes are in the .abr format, you can use the program to view all of them and convert them into .png files. Once you've done that just click and drag the brush image into the Medibang brush list and you'll have a new brush to play with!
You can find most of the brushes I have just by doing a Google search. Please give this a try before asking me for specific brushes! I really don't have the time to answer all the questions I get :)

When I first started at my job, a wood warbler flew in our office and 2 real deal ornithologists came from the neighboring building to help safely get it back in the open. One of my fondest memories in this workplace. Also, amazing video, as always.

This is honestly such a great chance!! I actually had 2 canarys when I was younger and I loved them dearly!! The colors of their feather are breathtaking and I honestly just find the structure of wings fascinating :3 I think my favorite bird is the toucan.. It's so unique and colorful, how could you not love it?!!

These amazing colors and mood reminded me of a time we had a humming bird nest in my fruit tree; everyday I would visit them until they were old enough to fly away.

Entering! I think stoned curlews are one of the funniest looking and sounding birds. They make this war cry whenever something is in there way, weather its a stick or glass door. Plus they got dem long leggys perfect to be on a cover of vogue!

Entering, I went to a zoo the other day and they had a cool bird show where they had trained birds of a wide variety fly around the small audience. They had an owl too but since it wasn't feeling up to flying they just showed her perched on the trainers arm. Saw so many cool birds that day.

Entering! I love birds! They are such amazing creatures. There is a Bird Sanctuary around where I live and they house all sorts of birds that have been injured and can't survive on their own. The sanctuary works as a wildlife conservation to help people learn about birds and appreciate them up-close. Some of my personal favorites are the birds of prey and they have a raven that has learned to talk like a person! He was so sweet and would say hello to new people that came up to his enclosure. I'm hoping to visit there again soon.

Enantiornithes were a branch of birds that died out with other non-avian dinosaurs. They were distinct from the birds today in that their shoulder joints were concave-convex (the scapula being concave), which is the opposite for modern birds. Hence, "enantiornithes" means "opposite birds."

I love birds! Especially those underrated ones like crooks and pigeons living in the city. Love to watch them I know you have probably thousands of messages to read, but I just wanted to mention that thanks to you and your videos I tried out Medibang and for the first time in my 12 years of painting I really felt fun while painting digitally ;_; I loooove this software, it's brush engine, it's simpliness and how colors blend naturally. Your art is totally worth dropping off at some social media accounts that I hardly use. When I was about six or so my family owned this bird called Olive (we called him Olive because he was green with a red head so he kinda looked like one of those green Olives with a pimento stuffed inside) and he was really chill with our cats, and our cats were really chill with him. So much so that Olive would eat out of our cat's dishes while the cats were eating, sit on their heads and clean their whiskers. Sadly, someone left the kitchen window open one day and Olive flew away. I cried so much :p

I wanna enter! Also, one of my fav birds, is the spine tailed swift, because they are capable of having one of the fastest flight speeds of over 100 mph in a horizontal direction of normal flight, and also that they that spend most of their lives in the air. :D

I really adore your art. The amount of love and detail you put into every piece just blows my mind. And this isn't exactly a bird fact, but my favorite bird ever is the Northern Cardinal. (Cardinalis Cardinalis) To the point that my character has two red wings tattoed on their back! Red cardinals are also the one thing I'm openly superstitious about.

Did you know that male peacocks will pretend to eat something off the ground to lure curious peahens and then display their feathers in such a way that it basically hypnotizes them into mating with them? Entering! Owls are my favourite birds because of a book series I read as a kid and I also like Cockatiels, Conures, and stuff. African Grey Parrots are super cool because of how smart they are and I also like ravens since they're majestic.

Entering! Fun fact: owls might be called the wisest bird in stories, but in reality, crows are listed in the top 10 smartest animal in the world. They are also fillial, which they took care of their parents when they're old. The moral of the story is: don't judge a bird from its feathers

Totally entering! Your art is astounding and gorgeous. I really liked the speedpaint you recently put up called "Solace". The feathers and face remind me of a Scarlet Macaw and a Toucan. I've never personally owned a bird, but I've loved Scarlets ever since I was little.
