My hat is off to you. I did A/C and maintenance in Phoenix for years until I retired. I have been up to my eyeballs in things I would rather not think about. Given how expensive it is in New Yawk, how you are staying afloat at $49.95 per service call is a miracle in itself. Keep up the good work and stay safe. Unclogging New Yawk drains one by one.

When you compare NYC to the British and Australian sewers, New York is, hands down, the most nightmarish of the three. I am amazed - in a terrified way - at what the DofB plumbing inspectors have signed off on - assuming, of course, that they have ever seen these. 😮 Great job, boss, great job! ❤

Ohohoh DAMN....I knew with the water leaking everywhere that bad this was gonna be a massive poop water bomb when you took that cap off. But this job had everything...fairly decent accessible height crawl space to work, a small bush removed, poop geyser, wipes, Soap scum cake, and a pet pipe animal to top it off.

Wonder if you could begin from the outlet part of the trap, try to break the blockage loose so the sewage could flow away, and then open the inlet part. That would save you and your customer a river of sh..... eesh :)

i asked him exactly this question a while ago, he said that there is a higher risk of damaging the pipe, and also you're not likely to remove the clog this way. there could be a huge chunk of wipes or whatnot. and simple common sense tells me that it's harder to operate the snake and make it go where you want it to go
@NYDRAINS
@NYDRAINS Жыл бұрын
Yes it's possible, also if you noticed they changed all of the rest of the pipes, maybe wasn't in the greatest shape, and didn't want to take the chance breaking or cracking the trap. All the water is absorbed in the sand.

Great work Donald. I have asked before but I wonder that after you broke off the first cap with no leak Maybe there’s a chance that a smaller, more flexible snake specifically for the ‘U-bend’ would be an option to reduce heavily the chance of damage but to unblock it and reduce the amount of leakage ….

Yes it's possible, also if you noticed they changed all of the rest of the pipes, maybe wasn't in the greatest shape, and didn't want to take the chance breaking or cracking the trap. All the water is absorbed in the sand.

Looks like a combined effort from all the "usual suspects" 😂 🇦🇺 I hope they take down some of that insulation to clean up.

Don, I don't know how tall you are, but I am 6'3" & would hate to have to crawl around in a crawlspace like that. Good job getting the clog open & I figure the home owners are happy as well!

Donald you do not make enough money. Your a good example of a hard working man. I’m just wondering if you were to find an old freezer or a 55gallon drum under a house would you be curious and ask the owners what’s in them? or ignore them ? I don’t know what I’d do Probably just keep quiet and act as if I didn’t see them. 😱

I definitely wouldn't let the owner know so that I don't end up in a barrel myself 😵🤣😆😉 thanks Happy 😂👍

The main house trap just seems like a really poor design flaw as far as build up clogs and backups go

Bit worried about all that crap you're breathing in. Face mask isn't a good thing. Was the water going through the duct work or around? If it goes through then it should be replaced because of mold correct? HATE MOLD Was that big blob toilet paper or wipes? Or a combo pack?😅

I may be wrong , but I think it’s $49.95 for each cap he pops off. Such as going both ways.

No reason to have the water run all over the crawl space except for the video footage. You know how to do it better but you choose not to.

Actually, as per the homeowner, he requested to let it rip instead of taking the chance with the trap! Not everything that goes on is included in the videos.
