For anybody wondering slime get hurt by spooder explosion, it just heals after killing. Direct damage feels weird in this game, especially considering rogues already spawn units, it would make more sense to actually defend your base from them and animals.

my favourite bit is Reto predicting salty comments and then proceeding to tear the imaginary commenters to pieces.

Looks like a sweet deck builder! Only thing that seems a little weird is the only way to avoid damage is with shields. Feels like there should be be a way to shoot the UFO down or something, so you can make more aggressive builds work

I'm liking the cute but creepy vibe, and the emerging narrative. Fave character so far is Klonee. It feels like it's kind of trying to be a board game like it's not horde survival so much as it is a tabletop game to conquer and defend your territory. Which I do find interesting we're doing from so many angles- it reminds me a bit of age of empires or smthn where it's getting you on 1v1, getting you with different factions, and types of units. How it marries that with the cards and RNG will be interesting moving forward. Nailed the aesthetic too tho

I can hear you about shields. When I tried the demo, I had too many times where the game just decides to have a UFO hit me 2 turns in a row for 15+ damage each time and I never drawn shield cards in my hand to negate that damage. How is anyone suppose to deal with that crazy thing in the game, especially when healing is most limited to shops and you have to pay for it and you can only heal for 7 HP of your starting 40 max HP? I can't tell if they want me to complete objectives or just keep reapplying block on my own ship so that I don't die, especially when you only get 2 AP per turn (unless you build the tower that gives 1 extra AP per turn and it isn't blocked) compared to the normal 3 I see in other games, and 2 normal shield cards only give you 10 block total for a turn. I just hope that gets improved on to maybe not have the game have attacks launched at your ship 2 turns in a row and cool it with minions being summoned every turn in the boss planets a bit too, since it seems like they want you to aggro complete the objective in 5 turns which might not be possible since you have to explore the whole map to find the objective pieces which takes X turns and with the amount of enemies that keep being spawn every turn, you might not be able to complete it quickly.

I love the game but I think like the shield mechanic needs to be reworked a bit. Maybe it’d be better if the shield wouldn’t drop at all and you could constantly stack it.

I think the game goes pretty far too establish that your clonees are meant to be disposable. Just throwing wave after wave of your own men at problems and not caring if they get dead.

It seems cool but they need to change the name. Colonizer reminds me of the old days 😬
