I clone or install new OS daily. Once I run through this several times it will be super duper. Plan on making a batch file with predefined Drive letters so it should be a bit more automated. Thank you very much!!!

I think you forgotten the last step at the end of your video to unassign the letter of the Drive E so that the recovery partition remains hidden and it looks clean like the original windows. Very helpful tutorial and will try it. Normally I would use a software to clone a drive.

Dude, great video. What is the difference in time, when cloning this way and cloning using 3rd party software. Another hint: try using robocopy command with /MIR switch to copy files. This works way faster than copy, as it's multi-threaded.👍

I was able to use your method to create a SSD for my Surface Pro 11 ARM64 (the newest cpu). But it's not bootable. An error message came up I don't know what that mean. I will need to continue working on this. I use this SSD as an external bootable SSD.... but so far I still can't find an easy way to clone the internal disk. Almost all clone tools are not able to install in this new kind of Surface Pro 11 (ARM64). It's not Intel based. Can you make another video if you know how to clone from Surface Pro 11 (ARM64)? I am not replacing internal disk, just want to make a bootable external SSD. I am using MX500 1 T from Crucial. Thank you very much!

hi..thanks for the trick. but unfortunately, i have wrongly creating image file into the new ssd, with assigned letter D:. then i just realized it till I'm at the creating partition stage. After finished the command, the D: partition was lost..and i cannot repeat from the beginning cause the bitlocker was missing and cannot shrink the disk again. what should i do? please help me..thank you in advance
