THIS VID CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR CLONE HIGH - I love the OG Clone High, I wanted to make a fan AMV encapsulating the yearning and angst brought on by its seminal track - prior to the reboot and all the discourse- just to go back to those distilled raw emotions of my younger years.

I'm criminally addicted to series that start as a joke about melodrama/horror/action going really hard into those themes. I fall for it every time, and I think it's done well here. I haven't even seen much of Clone High, the video just goes really hard.

I find it genuinely incredible how well you can draw emotions on character's faces. When Abe and Joan look at each other, you can just feel all the yearning and love and sadness and nostalgic desire in their eyes. Anyway, all of that incredible pathos was immediately taken away by the nightmarishly horrid way you drew Scudworth, so thanks for that.

I don't know, the scene of Abe and Joan reverting to their clone parents / past lives really hits that feeling of "Maybe in another life..." it also beautifully illustrates how worlds apart Abe and Joan are -- whether it be in centuries of time as their clone parents, or currently with their new relationships. Really captures that angst and tragedy of them never being able to get together, but imagining how miraculous it would be when they did. Even if life repeats, maybe they'll find each other again some day. It just makes me tear up so much over such a silly show haha, beautiful work

Beyond touched that this actually resonated with all of you- its definitely the sappiest thing I've ever made- a clear departure from most of my meme/rage type stuff- but I'm slowly branching out. I got chills when their original selves showed up. The existential crisis that Joan went through in the show was so interesting in particular, but the real Joan of Arc was just a teenager when she died. It makes you wonder what life was like for her going through puberty same as us but with so many more responsibilities

This video really captures how great this song was for the ending. Abe obsessed over the wr9ng girl all season, and by the time he figured it out, it was too late, Joan went with JFK, and they were all frozen (literally) they couldnt stip and start over and it was all over.

oh my god dude. when they reverted to their clone parents, and then broke down to scribbles and as the big emotional payoff i got chills. when they kiss and turn into just simple shapes for a moment? dude that's what love feels like. idk how else to describe it it's just so beautifully done

Man, not only is this a great song choice and the animation is fantastic, but it made me realise something. For such a silly, cynical and absurd show that parodies teen melodrama, Clone High really did have a heart to it that made you care about all these goofy characters, especially Joan and Abe. If the show had not been revived, this plus the ache of the 20+ year cliffhanger would have bummed me out all over again. Its amazing work in the spirit of the show (the unrequited love theme). Lets hope that Miller and Lord will use the next two seasons to wrap the show up properly with a final definitive ending to give us CH fans the complete story that we have dreamed of since 2003.

I’m four days late to the party but holy shit this is amazing and so well-made. I’ll be purchasing some prints soon, hopefully. Thank you, RudeJack. As someone that fell in love with the show since pretty much day one and hoped for a continuation to the series for _WAY_ too many years of my younger life, this also kind of serves as an unfortunate reminder that maybe _just maybe_ they should’ve left the clones alone to rest in the deep freeze.
