Welcome to my 100% Achievement/Trophy Guide for Close To The Sun.
A game developed by Storm In A Teacup, Published by @WiredP & is available to you for just £20.99 or $24.99 but is included with xbox gamepass right now!
By the way, A HUGE shoutout and thanks to Wired Production for being part of their awesome creator programme :)
So we play as rose archer, no relation to Sterling archer, as she boards a chunky ol ship called the Helios where she tries to find her sister but as soon as she arrives, it appears, not all is well.
Its a great game very reminiscent of bioshock, another classic game.
As for achievements and trophies, most are easy.. Simply find all collectibles in each level and complete said level..
2 are a pain in the backensiden.
Complete the game within 3 hours, and complete it without dying.. BUUUUUUUT Hol up!
The ever awesome Noth Tha God has found a cheeky little way to make things slightly easier..
Plug a keyboard into your xbox and console command your way through.

Now, this guide will show you the normal legit way of how to find everything, etc etc but on that TA link, you can also use things like god mode, walk through walls etc.. So the choice is entirely up to you! :)

For anyone having problems with the chase scene in chapter 6 instead of going exactly where he does go into the very first room you go past and you should get the rest of the chase done with no problems

Great video, the console command is still working as of 11/01/2024 and I managed to 100% the game. I played along legit but died about 9 times even though I followed directions to an absolute tea. I wouldn't have tried this game otherwise if there was no way around the deathless and speed run achievements.

These developers need to learn to Not put in achievements for No Deaths runs & stupid speedruns😡 Since Limbo, I'm sick of that garbage & will never play a game like that again. For anyone who is wondering, no the console commands do not work on the PC Game Pass version of the game. So you have to connect a keyboard to your Xbox.

Thank you for the guide Welsh. Good game, thoroughly enjoyed it. Unfortunately I shall have to stick with 900/1000 as I do not have a Keyboard for the shortcut, and I managed to die twice, once during the Ludwig Theatre chase where you said he caught you twice out of the three times you did the same thing, and the chase from the monster thing after flicking the door switches....I got stuck on some of the metal support beams and it caught up with me just before I got through the right hand door.

I was baffled that this was never tested and never fixed even after release. This needed like 2 more seconds. It frustrated me that I really didn't want to play it anymore because it felt cheap and did permanently lower the quality of the game

Great guide as usually Welsh. Tried going it in one go... died a few times and got caught slipping, no one to blame but myself. All and all even doing this legit wasnt too terrible, had much better luck on ny second playthrough. Word of warning tho for any attempting both legit, that the pause screen does not stop the timer. Found that out the hard way. On the plus side it doesn't void the achievements, at least not for me. Also I found that going left instead of right and hopping the obstacle on the 2nd Ludwig chase worked 100% of the times where as the right side would get caught more often than not. @@scottdj1982 Agreed, great quotes, characters and series in general. Especially that first Bioshock, also loved Armin Shimerman's portrayal of Andrew Ryan. Such an underrated and talented voice actor and great actor overall, stage screen etc... On an aside, Quark prob one of my favorite characters too for any DS9 fans out there lol.

1:18:55 The chase scene is bullshit (sorry for swearing), I tried it at least 10 times and he always caught me on the last corner. I've ordered a USB keyboard and getting that no death achievement the cheating way, I don't care. Oh, and just to make it even more annoying, when I decided to give up & let it reload checkpoint, I got through it first time. Update: Got a small keyboard that didn't have the damn backslash button, so I had to change my keyboard settings to US and the # became the \

I can confirm, the keyboard method does work, it types very small on your tv, but after you start a new game, type what Welsh put and you will get 3 achievements , 100 Gamer Score each, for a total of 300 Gamer Score.

Great guide, unfortunately I don't have a keyboard so for anyone like me that needs to do the last two acheevs legit here's guaranteed tip for the lev 6 chase, as you leap over the obstacle to start the chase run as normal & before you get to the 3 dummys take a left jump the obstacle & continue the path till you come to the way as shown in hunter's vid. the obstacle jump keeps the guy from ever getting near you. This is the only real place you could die if using hunter's path, all other chase paths are very simple You don't need colls for the fast run, i took my time especially at the beam walk & got a 1hr 45 min time. Another tip there's a sprint & run button, I couldn't tell what was faster so I held both during chases, lol, never got caught though, LB & LT are the sprint/run.

Welsh Hunter did 100% Turnip Boy1, so I was wondering if he would do Turnip Boy2.. I believe he will have no trouble 100% those games rather doing Spacelines from the Far Out, Gas Station Simulator, Moonglow Bay, Drake Hallow.. don't get me started on the games my silly online friends got me to play that I can't delete from my achievements board.. 😂

Keyboard trick worked for me today. The only thing to note is that the Xbox doesn't automatically select the layout of the keyboard. I have a Swiss keyboard but a UK Xbox account and the keyboard. I had to press the correct key from the English layout to get it to work

Will using a keyboard to input the console commands get you banned? I can't seem to get a clear answer online, some say you will some say you won't. Just wondering if there's any risk in doing this

No, you won't get banned for it :) Because the commands I believe are already in the game, so you'll be fine. Say for instance with the starfield "guide" I put out, I downloaded mods in order to unlock achievements which will.potentially get you banned. But no.youll be fine with this :)

I personally owe Valhalla & RE2 with all the DLC's just because I like them very much. It's just nice to see them joining Gamepass. Didn't expect that at all.

great guide, thx. One thing - if you plug in a german keyboard the "\" doesn't work. I tried everything, but finally the ESC button was the key and the command console get opened.

Hi someone in the comments mentioned that you have to set your keyboard to UK/US to get the commands to work. Hope this helps.

the input is wrong. just type "\ the console command will appear at the bottom Type travel then scroll with the up cursor key to find travel escapepod and press enter
