She lost me at ‘it’s hard when you see all your friends getting married’. I’ve many friends that had this same attitude and rushed into marriage just to make sure they weren’t the last to get married/have kids. 10 years on, they’re all divorced. I would stay single until I’m 80 if it meant that was the only way I’d marry my husband. He’s my soul mate and my other half. Getting married to him was more symbolic than anything and I wouldn’t want anyone but him. Before him, I didn’t honestly think I’d ever get married or have kids, but here I am, 15 years later happily married with a son. I wasn’t looking to get married, but I just happened to find my soul mate. This poor woman is just looking to fit in with her friends; something she’ll regret 10 years from now.
