I loved cloth diaper shop india, cuddlecare and super bottoms.. it's been 2 yrs now so there may be something more compact in market .do check their official website.

@ Siva Jayakumar : Each cloth diaper stays for 2 hours, remember it depends on your baby's urination pattern. Newborn tends to piss and poop a lot. If you are going to cloth diaper completely you need 12 cloth diaper a day. You can wash it regularly just like you using any baby's cloth detergent powder, thereby it's ready for reuse

@Neha p: Im sorry, Ive never heard about the u-shape or v-shape. It seems new to me. I cannot comment on that. W.r.to absorbance these cloth diapers ( Bumberry, Bumchim ) can hold till 1 to 2 hours depending on your baby's urination pattern. If you are looking for overnight absorbance then go for pocket diaper from any trusted brand. Thanks!

In Pocket diaper both the cover and insert gets soaked. You need to change both

@ Samragee: It is not depending on the duration. It depends on baby's urination pattern. Once the baby pees cloth/any diaper has to be removed. These cloth diapers absorbs slowly unlike the regular disposable diaper. According to me any diaper has to be checked on our baby every one hour or for every pee and change them.

It is always nice to keep an eye and change your baby diaper(cloth/disposable) when your passes urine even just once. If it is left unnoticed its okay for one hour to the max.

@ Mandakini Matada : For new born go for cotton nappies or new born cloth diapers , avoid microfiber insert if the insert is going to touch the baby's skin directly. Apart from that you can get bamboo, hemp or cotton insert. Bamboo insert works good for me. If you are purchasing pocket diaper then go for microfiber insert without even thinking twice.

Yes, both the cover and insert are washable. Insert stays only for 2 hours. You can use diaper cover for the whole day too jus by cleaning with a cloth.

I personally advice u not to get too much, just start with bumberry for cover and insert model or babyhug for pocket diaper model, experience it first. If you like it then go ahead and purchase a bunch from various other brands too.
