The algorithm showed me your whimsigoth video and now I can't stop binging your content! The quality is fantastic, the humor impeccable, the sartorial tangents hilarious. I too admire adventure style but have not dabbled since my teens when I looked very mom in it. I think it helps when you have dinosaurs or ancient Egyptian artifacts around to clarify you are adventuring and not momming in your white button down and loose khaki shorts. ANYWAYS that's all, I'm liking and subscribing!

🥰Aw! Thank you! That means so much to me! 😘 And yes, one does need fossils or Egyptian relics to look cool and not like a '90s mom. Those khaki balloon shorts could go either way! Somehow Kristin Scott Thomas pulled it off, but she's got the setting.

Jurassic Park was the first movie ever that I saw in the theater, I think I was about 11 when it came out. For me that was really magical, such a good memory. I don't know how many times I saw it on VHS afterwards! Super nice video and you should definitely check out The Aviator sometime, it's really good :)

I used to watch Jurassic Park on repeat on VHS! Unfortunately, I missed seeing it in theaters. I have seen the Aviator... great fashion! Thank you for watching!

loved the section on burton, esp. because i just finished reading candice millard's river of the gods, which is all about the journey of burton & speke to find the source of the nile.

That was great. I'm glad you did start with the dark side but also appreciate the fun part of the clothes/aesthetic. So do I and I love playing around with my kakis, whites (and all I usually don't wear in my daily black wardrobe 😅)

🩳 my mom was really into adventure fashion for women one summer in the late 1980s . I remember going shopping with her at Women's Causal, a popular mall clothing store for ladies fashions back in the day (old millennial), specifically a kakie skirt with buttons down the front. She even purchased carved leopard earrings to wear with her African Safari outfit. 😂
