Great video! This gal was focused on the project and described exactly what she was doing without a lot of unnecessary talking. Video taker was awesome as well.

I just happened upon your video and the name intrigued me. I have to say your video was one of the best I’ve seen. You provide such thorough and detailed explanations of every step, anticipating any questions that might arise that I know I can do this! I will watch further to see how to create the actual bowl shape but I do think I will make some new placements! Thank you!

Thank you so very much!! My husband and I took out the berber carpet in our livingroom 2 years ago and we put in hardwood floor. Our dogs have not been able to run to play fetch with toys very well on the slippery floor. I've been wanting to get a big decorative carpet, but do not have the funds to get one, yet. Watching you has given me some GREAT ideas using cotton cording and some neutral color fabrics..... (not to do a circle or oval rug), but to incorporate a few other ideas - to create an amazing rug for our living room and hallway!!! I will try to post pics as I go along and work on this project!

A helpful hint would be to place books or magazines next to your machine, the same height, so your wider project doesn't hang off the machine on the left-hand side. Fun project!

I’m from Vernon! So nice to see someone on KZfaq from my part of the world. My daughter and her husband are just building a home in that area so I hope to be able to visit your shop. Really enjoyed the demo. Couple of things I would like to see. If you could show the start of a project with the wrapping, ie. how to get going. And it would be good to see how you sew a basket with wrapping, ie. turning from the bottom to the wall, going up the sides. Thanks!

I would roll up the fabric strips, and then you can easily wind and wrap the cord like you would with a bandage, and you wouldn't have to deal with the length of it getting wound up.

Thanks for this great detailed video. I have made a few rope projects mostly bowls and placemats. However, I am going to undertake a larger entry rug. I was wondering if you have a formula on how long to make the initial strip for a rug that would be 35 by 70?
