I used this for the first time today. It is an amazing item that makes the job of creating fabric tubes so easy. A couple of hints: Make sure you clean out the "fluff" that accumulates in the bobbin case before and after doing this. I had my bobbin tie up and it was because there was fluff in the case. Since I am lazy I joined my pieces of fabric straight across after cutting off the salvage. I then did NOT iron the seams open. As I worked and found the seam coming up I used clips to spread the seam apart and clipped it to the batting. I removed the clips just as the fabric went through the first part of the maker. I did use my walking foot and slowed the stitch rate as well as used a longer stitch. Now I have a large ball of tubing waiting to be sewn into a rug. I think I may use some Christmas fabric and make candle mats for presents using the tube maker. I made a zippered bag from fabric tubes that I made without this tool and the difference is amazing. Thank you Clover for this great item.

Not one for single use rulers or gadgets, however this is genius and I absolutely need one! In fact, the only reason I stayed away from making a jelly roll rug was because I didn't want to mess with ironing the strips in half and half again. Thanks for sharing!

I just recently purchased this tool and it’s really a game changer… WOW! After sewing all my 2.5” strips into one looooong piece, it only took a steady afternoon or maybe a bit more to make my rope ❤️❤️❤️ I’m making round jelly roll rugs for my three grandsons and this tool really cut my prep time in half 👏👏👏

I have made numerous jelly rugs. I have never used an iron on any of them. After making several I found a "folder" tool at a sewing show from Australia. I have used this tool since then and it does make it easier to fold and sew. HOWEVER- this tool looks much easier to use with way more accurate results! I will be purchasing one of these!! Thanks for showing this tool and you make it look so easy

Can you use the larger section to create binding for quilts. Meaning to place the fold on the left or right side pull the fabric in to create the fold then press with an iron? Will this help with matching up the raw edges?
