🇩🇴Punta Cana all you can see 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 We are checking out the Club Med, close to Miches. Club Med Playa Esmeralda.
After being at Club Med in Punta Cana I had to go and see the newer Club Med at Playa Esmeralda.
Long Story short. The Club Med Playa Esmeralda, is a very good Hotel, but no comparison to the Club Med in Punta Cana. Talking about Day Pass and nothing more. The day pass is waaaaaay overpriced with 150 US per person.
It's an hour driving from Bavaro - Punta Cana and an hour and thirty - to forty minutes from the airport.
With a Day Pass you can only check in at 10 AM and their Breakfast restaurant closes at 10 AM . Bummer.
There is a restaurant for people that get up later, but the choice are limited. It is what you make it and we still ate, just not as luxurious as expected after knowing the Club Med Punta Cana and have paid a much higher price.
The beach is beautiful , no doubt! The pool seems small. The Resort is long, many places we didn't see because there where "to far" to walk. The Tennis court which isn't a big miss but I would have loved to see the Spa area and the Kid's club the Animation Sports.
Lunch at the same restaurant and again, the choices seemed not comparable with Club Med Punta Cana.
We have not been to the Main Restaurant , so don't let that take you down. Miches the little town, is aprox. 20 min. from the Resort. It's a local town and not a touristy one. The Secrets Playa Esmeralda and a Dreams Playa Esmeralda are under construction and are planed to open end 2024 or beginning 2025.
