Wonderful memories. 22 years ago, it was a wow moment to see a batsman hitting 4 boundaries in an over. The way he scored them was special too with a slog, a late cut, kind of lap sweep and a drive to all parts of the ground. That 325 chase is one of the best ever game to watch

Watching Ronnie gives me hardcore nostalgia of a younger Me sitting in front of my Tele, watching the final of THAT Natwest final 2002. People dont realize how big the win was. After 1999 match fixing scandal, several Indians had given up on cricket and moved on. Natwest Final 2002 win and Dada's shirt waving brought back interest for cricket in India.

During late 90s England started a unique ODI team setup where they packed their team with all rounders like Ronnie and used to limit the batting team to 180-200 and then chase it down. Wish someone brought up that question. It was a very fresh idea for those days.

Darren Gough suggesting Sachin doesnt play well against "Ronnie irani type of bowler" is SPOT ON. Sachin has expressed how he had struggled against Hansie, Gavin Larson and bowlers similar to Ronnie.Sachin also struggled against the off cutters Fanie de villeirs used to serve. Top edging them most of the time.

Agree with fact that impact sub should go, but lets not just attribute high scores to just that rule, this rule on a normal day allows teams to play with an extra bowler. Fresh flat pitches and smaller grounds have a huge role to play alongside evolving game. Notice how scores have started coming down as wickets have started to grip.
