My problem was always how one sided it was! Nobody ever let Armie talk, it was just CANCELLED!

Sometimes I think Bill does this just to hear himself talk. He’s like a broken record with the bliss of never marrying and not having kids story. It gets so old. I would’ve loved to hear Armie talk a lot more.

Is Maher drunk? I commend Armie for his composure restraint and failure to bad mouth his ex-wife.

I always had a hunch that Armie's story was blown out of proportion, even after the documentary - and after this interview - I hope he can get back in the game because he is an awesome actor and he deserves vindication. Also, if our own fantasies were magically available to everyone - we'd all have some explaining to do ❣

My 90 year old father didn’t get many visitors but when he did he talked on and on the same way Bill does. Lonely people do this. I often fast forward while Bill is going on and on so I can hear what the guest has to say.

We missed out on what might have been one of the great interviews. Armie is poised and a gentleman.

It’s unfortunate that we hold celebrities to higher standards than our political leaders. I never understood the overreaction to the text messages between him and the women. Those were intimate thoughts between adults that fit into a certain context. Was he a jerk for cheating on his wife and misleading other women? Yes100%. But the women also knew that he was married with kids and that didn’t stop them from getting with him. People are messy and complicated. It is not victim shaming or blaming to speak the facts. And it should never have been any of our business to hear about them. He was the boy who flew too close to the sun. That’s all.

I really would have preferred to hear what Armie has to say instead of Bill.

I always enjoy hearing Armie speak, he is articulate and highly intelligent. I’m not interested in Armie confirming or denying the details of private moments. If Armie was not world known family, celebrity we would not be here. I’m not a fan of talk show hosts, this was bad. Bill Maher just solidifying, only wants the inside, “real truth”. Armie owes nothing to no one. I was hoping this was going to be intellectual not blaming anyone, bravo Armie for trying, BM continually going for gory details… I must say, the text msgs and the wild things I did with my boy’s in my few younger years were not for public consumption, purely legal and no ones business. My last name isn’t Hammer, that’s why it doesn’t matter….Armie deserves to be welcomed back, he has his power back..

Man I really enjoyed this interview. The banter between those two was so fun to listen to. Armie is just so cool.

I have a son. And as a mother of a beautiful and bright young man, I really feel for Armie. Let’s look at the facts. Fact 1 - Armie was sexually abused by a male adult at the age of 13. It would be monstrous of us to think it’s not a big deal. No matter what kind of family you are from, no matter what money you come from, that experience is not an easy one to survive through undamaged psychologically. It takes huge amount of time, effort, therapy, love, friendship to get over. It is shallow to assume it was not a big deal for Armie. His confidence and trust most likely were shaken to core, which logically leads then to the next fact. Fact 2 - How old was Armie when he met his ex-wife? How old was she? He was not a mature man, she was already a mature woman then. While he was in a la-la-land of youth, inexperienced, hurt, and naive, she knew what she was doing. It is hard for me to imagine there was no manipulation involved on her part. Fact 3 - He cheated on his wife? Were they already estranged by then? He admits he did. He blames himself for being selfish. He has matured. Honestly, however, when an older woman marries a gorgeously looking but very young man, what do we all expect to happen in a few years? Fact 4 - Divorces with battles over custody of kids are often brutal even for average income families of regular folks. Here we have a movie star, a white guy “from big money family” who dares to leave his wife during a “me too” frenzy in the wokest craze our country has ever experienced. For a manipulative woman, this was too much of a temptation to resist. She had a motive, a desire, connections and means to crush him. Fact 5 - Armie doesn’t say anything mean about his ex although there is plenty of evidence of what she has done to his career and reputation. As a true gentleman, he chose to focus on his own shortcomings, protect his children, and grow. This man deserves his name to be cleared and his career restored. I think he has done more work and reflection than most of us would in his circumstances. So, please, be kind, folks. Stop stoning people for entertainment and your need of fake virtue signaling. Just because someone dumped a bucket of his dirty laundry in front of you, it doesn’t mean your own laundry is any cleaner. Be nice.

There were quite a few moments in this “interview” where Armie just graciously let it go when Bill cut in front of him and totally missed the message Armie was about to share. And what’s up with all the alcohol and weed in front of a man who says he had to work on his addiction issues? The only thing missing on that table were some sex toys, Bill. I say Maher was really an inconsiderate “I know it all” towards his guest. Almost as if he felt intimidated with Armie’s looks. Wishing Armie speedy and bright return to his career with a wholesome and classy film soon.

I was very curious to hear what Armie had to say. Guess I’ll have to keep waiting because he never got the chance to speak. 🙄

I always felt Armie got a raw deal and his personal life was just that. If he screwed up, well he said he paid the price for his bad decisions, so maybe it's time the powers that be move on and give him another chance.

I hope he gets back into films. He’s a great talent and doesn’t deserve to lose his career for this.
