Can you name one benefit of sharing his thoughts about Kountry Wayne and other internet skit comedians? If anything, it will hinder Godfrey from reaching mega success. This is a new age for comedy. Comedians can take different routes with the end result being to simply make people laugh. Godfrey obviously is suffering financially because he has a GoFundMe for requesting people to fund HIS comedy special.

He spit heavy but quiet facts on that difference between sketches and standup. A lot of soc med stars are learning that the hard way. Crazy enough, Wild n’ Out is a great litmus test. You see folk that’s funny af when they’ve got endless takes and edits and a crew of scriptwriters fall on every last bit of their face when they’ve got to be funny in front of people. It’s like people gotta learn all over again that IG isn’t real life.

I love dc youngfly, but last year when i saw him on tour with Earthquake, DL Hughley and Ced the Entertainer, I noticed the difference. Stand up is a totally different animal than just being on stage acting up

Using that Seinfeld analogy DC is still an infant in comedy he's prob been doin stand up for like 5-6 yrs. The cool thing about him is he's around all these OGs and has an old comedy soul. Once he he get to that decade, or 15 year mark, mans will be a monster. Them 85 south Live shows are a different engine. I think it's only a matter of time before the select few of 'social media' to stand up comedians become the new Bernies and new Earthquakes. I always said that about DC. I saw him about 5-6 years ago and it felt like watching an annoying lil brother tell jokes. There were points when he said funny things but most of it was annoying. Wild N Out works for him because you just have to say something funny and be done. Doing a set and tell jokes TO ME is not his lane. I’m glad he’s successful though!

This is why I stopped listening to Kountry Wayne, and it is why Kevin Hart stopped being funny. Wayne’s skits became redundant, repetitive and not funny. They both started to focus on money and success and that’s cool, but it isn’t funny. Katt Williams made this point over and over, and they accused one of the most successful comedians of all time of being jealous and hatin. It is sad because it’s another outgrowth of late stage capitalism that most people are not recognizing. It’s affecting all entertainment from video games, movies and comedy. 60 million views wasn’t about beef or spilling tea, Monique did that didn’t get half the views. Them 60 million views are about the public being tired of being lied to and appreciating the truth.

There are people without jobs, homeless, no medical insurance with debilitating illnesses etc that would benefit from a GOFUND ME. There is no hate here. Also not once has Godfrey mentioned giving back anything to the community. It is all about His self serving needs. The definition of begging is the practice of imploring others to grant a favor, often a gift of money, with little or no expectation of reciprocation. A person doing such is called a beggar. He brings shame upon his family's name. On the subject of hate, Godfrey is spewing nothing but hate, envy, and jealousy at these "internet comedians" who are basically overnight sensations. He needs to tone that down. This is a new day.

The title of this video is not accurate, he did not "rip" Kountry Wayne he made a very respectful critique of something he said. This is why people are calling Club Shay Shay "messy". A title as simple as "Godfrey disagrees with Kountry Wayne" would have been more fitting and less divisive

He actually did ether the comment though. He explained that social media comedy is not the same as stand up and that the comics who’ve only been doing this for a few years are not his equals. These are all things that go against what country Wayne said. So in a way he did exactly that. He fully broke down how what country Wayne said was incorrect and expressed that what Wayne thinks levels are and what they actually are in the comedy game are totally different. Followers doesn’t equal funny, especially in the stand up arena.

This the second time I’ve seen a title on one of your video clips that misrepresents what actually happens in the video. I clicked because I like the content you’ve been putting out with some of our legends and/or undervalued talent. I know there are some people who may not click unless you inject some drama into the title but truth and integrity still has to have some value. If the content is good, the people will watch regardless. The people you will attract with the drama will only stay if you keep the drama and then your whole platform becomes about drama to keep the numbers up and you lose the essence of why you got the platform to begin with. Just let the work speak for itself.

The worst thing is when ppl say "Oh you so funny" and then we start thinking Yeah , I am funny, then that makes us think we can do a comedy act/stand up/routine etc All we're doing is reacting and making comments Kanye does something every day and we reacting to his antics of course we make something funny It's not easy to come up with an act that's original

After watching this, I'm not sure why Kountry Wayne responded to Godfrey. He literally said nothing wrong nor disrespectful. Wayne picked who he thought was the "weakest link" and decided to speak. When there has been actual comedians who have came at him sideways that he's said nothing to. Not that anything needs to be said.. . The people who stop doing comedy clubs are the ones that become unfunny in my opinion. People at a comedy club are people who truly love and appreciate comedy they're gonna give you a true reaction you'll know if you're funny or not.
