One of the true G.O.A.Ts when it comes to athletes inside of the boxing ring. He had a style like no other! Muhammad Ali was one amazing person inside and out. I truly enjoyed watching the man that I believe paved the way for a totally unique style.

Ali had it all. Every tool a boxer could possess...Ali had it. That's a big part of what made him "The Greatest". He possessed one punch knockout power. He had, what's in my opinion, to this day the most stinging and fastest jab in boxing. He was 6'3 but had the speed and movement of a middleweight or some lightweights. Because of his height he had fantastic length and reach. He had absolutely incredible stamina and was a genius "in the ring" strategist who could fight in the middle of the ring, against the ropes and in the corners. Defensively, the man was near unhittable in his prime. But he could also take hard punches. He not only dominated he did so during the greatest era of the sport. Every single tool a boxer could want Ali had it.

He didn't quite have everything even though he still is my all time favorite heavyweight. He didn't posses true one punch knock out power. He would wear opponents out and knock them out with combinations. He was no Sonny Liston, George Foreman, or Earnie Shavers when it came to pure power. He also wasn't very fundamentally sound in his technique. He relied on his footspeed and reflexes and wasn't as effective when he began to lose those. Technically he wasn't good at catching the jab when not able to lean away which is why Ken Norton gave him so much hell. He also wasn't a great inside fighter which is why he relied on the clinch to nuetralise Joe Frazier on the inside. He was also exposed for a Left Hook which is another reason why Joe Frazier gave him such hell in their fights.

Ali in the 1960s was simply untouchable! Broke all the boxing rules, kept his hands down - and still nobody could touch him. He was simply the greatest inside and outside the ring! That unjust ban and prison sentence stole his best years - and denied the world from seeing God's beautiful talent in motion. 3.5 years of his prime years taken away leaving him practically penniless. When he came back after that lay off, he was not the same. The speed had gone! He was never a heavy puncher, but he threw punches in bunches. He was simply an artist!

@DChief94 Dude, he stopped training for almost 4 years during his prime and he started touring to lecture in universities and acting in a Broadway's play. He definitely wasn't in his prime anymore when he came back. Btw, he was 29 when he fought Frasier for the first time and he was almost 33 against Foreman. Even Cus d'Amato said that he wasn't the same fighter after the ban...yet he managed to change his style, the rope-a-dope style, in order to adapt to his opponents to beat everybody during the era of the most fierce competition in the heavyweight division.

To fully understand Ali, you have to know the strength of his incredible competition- Liston, Frazier, Foreman, Norton, a legendary cast of men with formidable skill, and heart (in the cases of Frazier and Foreman). Then the emotional impact of the story outside the ring will become apparent. The Olympic Gold, the Heavyweight Championship, the textbook perfection shown against Cleveland Williams, the championship lineage severed due to his civil disobedience and his consequential arrest, the rope-a-dope that shook up the world again, and the trilogy with Frasier which would ultimately contribute to Ali's untimely physical decline. All of these events are so tremendous that the rest of the story almost seems too fantastic to be real; his musical friendship with Sam Cooke, his association with the leader of the Nation of Islam, his cruel colorist slandering directed at his rival Smokin' Joe Frazier, his adoration by the people of Zaire, his humane consoling of a suicidal stranger who almost jumped off a 9th floor ledge, his poetically tragic recession to Parkinson's. Every black person in America should be aware of Ali because he is a civil rights icon; likewise every American should learn about him because he is one our nation's greatest. Today, he is loved by people across the world. Why spend money in a cinema when you can instead initiate yourself to the story of one of the most spectacular figures of the last century? The implausible odds, the emotion, the humanity; it all really happened, and that reassures me deeply. Sorry for writing this big ole post but I'll end it on a memorable note - just another small story that contributes to Ali's incredibly grand legacy as the heart and soul of boxing. As told by Jim Lampley (the boxing commentator whose voice you may recognize): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f6eolsp5vuCld2g.html The clip is for anyone who might ask, 'who is this man?'

Yeah, you have to remember that Foreman destroyed frazier in minutes, someone who beat Ali and always gave him a hard fight. So it was only natural to believe that Foreman was gonna run through him, he was taller, bigger, heavier, more muscular and had a way more powerful punch, not even counting the fact that Foreman was in his prime while Ali got 3 years of his prime taken away.. Ali was way before his time you could even say he was the innovator of rap music too as far as him being banned from the sport of boxing goes they tried to send him to war over to Vietnam which he told reporters I have no quarrels with the Vietnamese people none of them ever called me a nigger plus he said why should i be sent over there to kill other race of poor people he said i rather be in jail than to be over killing people by him taking a stand against the government they change the laws to drafting people to war yeah it cost him 3yrs of his prime yrs of boxing but it was worth him standing against the government for forcing people to go to war when they really didn't want to i think u would enjoy Ali interviews with Howard Cosell they both are really funny together both of them roasting each other is really comedy gold

@@zarulayol5283 Learn? Okay. So tell me. Did Mohammed had slaves or not? And tell me something about the Zanj Rebellion. The Arab slave trade was most active in West Asia, North Africa, and Southeast Africa. In the early 20th century (post World War I), slavery was gradually outlawed and suppressed in Muslim lands, largely due to pressure exerted by Western nations such as Britain and France. Slavery in the Ottoman Empire was abolished in 1924 when the new Turkish Constitution disbanded the Imperial Harem and made the last concubines and eunuchs free citizens of the newly proclaimed republic. Slavery in Iran was abolished in 1929. Among the last states to abolish slaverywere Saudi Arabia and Yemen, which abolished slavery in 1962 under pressure from Britain; Oman in 1970, and Mauritania in 1905, 1981, and again in August 2007. However, slavery claiming the sanction of Islam is documented presently in the predominantly Islamic countries of the Sahel, and is also practiced in territories controlled by Islamist rebel groups, for instance in Libya. Bernard Lewis writes: "In one of the sad paradoxes of human history, it was the humanitarian reforms brought by Islam that resulted in a vast development of the slave trade inside, and still more outside, the Islamic empire." He notes that the Islamic injunctions against the enslavement of Muslims led to massive importation of slaves from the outside. According to Patrick Manning, Islam by recognizing and codifying the slavery seems to have done more to protect and expand slavery than the reverse.[

Jack Johnson, talking about making a movie about someone's life. The man was incredible, balls as big as houses, imagine him beating up ppl during him cross era time. The saying great white hope came from this man. He faced adversity just by colour and then raced cars, dated white woman and kicked ass. They ended up making up a law to arrest him and he fought from cuba. He eventually got pardoned with help from Trump and Stallone lol. Oh and btw, he smacked him in the face during a stand off after calling him cassius lol

@@JahleelX-xx9wd - The name typically do not reflect the person's character. Hitler's given name Adolf means "noble". Was he? He murdered innocent people. Millions perished under Joseph Stalin. The name Joseph from the Old Testament means "he will add"; in plain speak; God will make him more. The historical prophet Momo lived off the misery of others. He traded and owned slaves; kept sex slaves; married a 6 year-old and when she turned 9 penetrated her with his pee-pee. He ordered and took part in the beheadings of some 700 members of his own tribe. Was caught by one of his wives having sex with a slave girl in her bed. That's adultery, a stoning offence. Beat his wife Aisha. These immoral acts and many more are recorded in the most authoritative Hadiths and Sira you can read for yourself. They are not the actions of a moral man worthy of my praise. I guess our moral frameworks differ.

@ScreenTime َ - Be specific in your accusation. What was the error in my comment? That millions perished under Stalin? Or Ali and Momo were slave traders?
