I'd say launching at 7500 on a cheap ass clutch that you didn't even break in whatsoever did exactly what's to be expected lol

I've been running the same stage 4 clutch on my civic for the past 3 years. At one point was around 400hp trying to push the engine to its limits. After going on almost 4 years it's just now beginning to slip.

I got the Clutch Max stage 5 unsprung and while the clutch held all the power no issue it actually created an even worse problem where the diaphragm on the pressure plate was pushing too far in towards the crank and completely ate the thrust bearings on a low mileage motor. When I took the pressure plate off to compare to a stock one the diaphragm teeth were about 1/4 longer towards the center than stock.

An ebay stage 4 clutch did the same to one of my motors.. the thrust washers completely fell off after all the hard pressure on the crank and block... that ruin a good block and crank.. thanks to that cheap clutch... never again i will trust cheap clutches.

I'm not doubting that the clutches suck however all clutches and new flywheels have a break in period and if you're saying that you were launching that could definitely play into it failing.

I consider your opinion bro. However, one of our ek hatches installed, and give it good miles and break in before testing on the dragstrip. the same issue it broke. sad to say. he warn me before I didn't listen. like you said clutch and flywheel need a break-in period. but I'm not using tthis clutch again. haha.

@@TanzRacing Everything I hear on the ClutchMax kits are that the pressure plates take a shit. Besides the damage to the friction from the pressure plate cracking, the rest of the clutch (disc) held up to the abuse?

I purchased a stage 1 kit from clutch max replacing my 350z OEM kit and it didn’t engage the gears so I had to take it off. Seems like the pressure plate is the problem.

Can't even drive the car on the Roads. These cars here in Doha our not permitted only we run them on the Track. Once they saw this rust bucket on the street it's a bye bye 😅

They Suck ASS!!! For Anyone wondering. DON'T BUT CLUTCH MAX!!! They burn out way too fast and just overall quality is Garbage 🗑. You would be better off buying a used clutch then to waste the $ on that shit
