Using underrated is overrated. How is he underrated when he's easily and widely considered one of the greatest shooting guards ever and basketball players in general. Do you mean you and your friends underrate him? No one I know l, nor do professionals underrates him. His spot on history is solid. I think he's often forgotten, but he's rated perfectly as an alltime great

Clyde wasn't necessarily underrated it was more of the league was pushing the narrative for jordan being the goat so everything jordan its was overblown because he was selling tickets attracting bigger audiences..same with kobe and now with lebron ...antman and luka next but I think j brown and tatum gonna ruin that

Barkely wasn't there yet & CHUCK is the only other person that could a possibly have been #2 making Clyde #3 but that's all mute they never played together & if they did (HAD) THAT PARTICULAR BIG 3 played together...DREAM,CHUCK & CLYDE; it wouldn't been a far gone conclusion that Clyde would a been the 3rd option & not the 2nd...it jus depends who u ask who was better or more important with Houston...GLYDE...or...CHUCK!

I grew up watching Clyde (The Slide) Drexler.. He was indeed a dominating NBA player.. Jordan, Magic, and Bird got most of the media attention. I know Clyde was on the NBA Allstar Team a few times. There were so many great NBA players during that time that could beat you on any given night by themselves.

Respect! I remember favoring Clyde over Jordan back in those days. I thought Jordan was a little over-rated late 80s- early 90s because I remember watching those games where he shot below 30%- 20%. Today, we just see the highlights. Clyde was a full speed ahead shooting guard with all of the flair.

@@donarthiazi2443 - It has everything to do with it. Overrated, means overvalued. Underrated means... (wait for it) undervalued. The relevance of Dominique is brought because he was valued fairly for what he brought to the table, and even though Clyde was cut from the same cloth as Dom and had a very similar style, he was severely undervalued in the eyes of the public. This is why you have no friends. Just scouring the internet looking for people to argue with over the dumbest, most mundane things 🤣

Clyde was a complete SG. He could play tough defense, rebound, shoot, and fly. People forget he led Portland to the Finals in 1990 and the Blazers to the best regular season record 63-19 in 1991. I’m glad he finally got a ring in ‘95 with Houston.

1990 and 92. The thing is he placed 2nd to any personal accolades to MJ. Many times Clyde would have 1st all nba and defense but it just shows how much better MJ was, Clyde is 100% a legend yet he was overshadowed by MJ by a huge gap.

Thats just blasphemy as the fact MJ was mad that Clyde was being compared to MJ coming into the 92 finals match up, that MJ turned it up just to prove everyone wrong. Clyde was quiet in that finals. Also the reason why MJ started over Clyde on the dream team.

It's amazing how many great players never get their true respect because of Jordan. Which is why those that wasn't there for Jordan's era can never understand just how great Jordan was. Jordan isn't the only player that would be able to play in today's game.

Not like LeBron there has almost always been a player being compared to him that played while he's playing. Like Kobe, Durant, Steph not even going to include the other players of today that a strong case can be made that they're better right now than LeBron like Jokic, Giannis, Luka Embid etc...While Jordan played there was no doubt of who was the best.

Look it up, mj once said when he played Clyde, he hoped Clyde would hit his first couple jumpers then he might stick to just taking jump shots instead of going to his whole offensive repertoire. That coming from mj’s mouth meant how difficult it was to guard Clyde
