Picked up a CM9 and so far I've fired 300+ rounds through it. Everything's ng from 115g factory FMJ, 115g JHP, 124g reloads, Federal aluminum, Tula steel, and some Speer 115g nickel FMJ. So far no real issues. Good trigger, sights are decent, safety has loosened up and operates freely now. For the price ($250.00ish), it's a great value. TR Imports offers additional factory mags for $19.95 a pop.

My CM arrived yesterday. The mid-sized back strap had to be replaced for the smallest one in the box. Your video confirmed my suspicions; the manufacturer's punch is the wrong size and I adapted as you suggested. Plenty of features come in this $ 300+ package. A genuine Turkish delight. With any new toy, you don't want to break anything. The video is "A Plus." Thanks for your invaluable assistance.

I have a Sarsimlaz P35 (Browing Hi Power) copy. It kind of rounds out the P35 collection. I have one that might have been made by Canik, too. There are a few I don't have yet, like a Korean Hi Power. I'd rank the Sarsimlaz better than the FM Argentine Hi Power, but below the FEG JKP P9HP, & P9Ms and about, but not quite equal to the Arcus Israeli Hi Power. None of them are equal to the Belgian & Canadian Hi Powers, or (if you can find one) pre John Inglis, English made Hi Power. That CM9 is a nice looking pistol. I had no reservations using the Turkish Hi Power with ball ammo. JHPs are a bit iffy in any Hi Power. Find a magazine the works best with them, and use it in the gun. I really like the looks of that CM9. Lanyard hole? YES YES YES! I have one gun in a lake, and one in an ocean. Nice little CZ-ish ala-Browning linkless barrel combat pistol!!

Hey Graham! Thanks for the response. As a lefty I carry the HK's. I love'em! However, lately, I've been open to looking for some other handgun brands that are lefty friendly (i.e. slid lock/magazine release being ambidextrous....on the right side of the gun for access by the left thumb etc.) that are solid for conceal carry. You are showing a lot of pieces that I've never heard of or seen in my LGS's.

As far as the rail guide tracks not being "full length", most handguns the slide and frame fit is such that upon full recoil of the slide the interference with the from to the slide with the rails on the frame prevents the actual rail guide tracks extending forward much if any beyond the trigger guard. This means the rail guide track cannot actually engage all the way length of frame or slide. Of course CZ having the rails guide tracks inside the frame design and outside the slide design is the only type that allows for the full length rail guide tracks. Why the plastic gun frames do not have rail guide tracks in the plastic is the metal of the slide would quickly wear them out. On would think considering the old Remington Nylon 66 this would not be the case but the lack of needed precision in that "rifle" rather than a handgun design is the reason it successfully works. However, the most fragile design appears to be the Glock guide metal inserts but Glock engineering has overcome the fragile appearance, giving durability. Of course CZ rail guide tracks don't really extend full length as the side cutouts in the frame around the magazine for trigger bar clearance cut them mostly away. Though if CZ cut down the thickness by about 1/3rd the trigger bar thickness then the rails could be full length. So because of this and that even CZ other rail guide track cutaways is not really completely full length either. Simply substantially. Of all modern guns the Bersa TPR has the longest rail guide tracks proportionate to size. However, Walther type fixed barrel designs like the PP/PPK/PPKS and the CCP have the best guidance with the short rails in the back and the fixed barrel providing the main guide track. This will several other similar designs are remarkably precise in reciprocating precision. As these are not locked breech recoil operated guns but recoil operated the barrel can be fixed to the frame. Though the Walther CCP and H&K P7 gas delay recoil operated, with separate gas cylinder. All use over barrel recoils springs and a rather unhandy disassembly method of pull back the slide and up over the breech barrel block and then slide forward over the barrel to release the slide for field strip, though once mastered is not bad at all. I would rate the best rail guid track design for a polymer frame gun being the Steyr L9/M9/S9 design with the beefy triangular rail guides. This even over the Grand Power, Archon, and Caracal.

I have a cz97bd. No nead for a cheap gun like this.
@beretta92x937 жыл бұрын
a da/sa gun with no decocker is like eating cereal with no milk,it just does not make sense. I guess that's why the cheap guns leave them out,to expensive to install a decocker. it's my opinion but the only da/sa guns I own are sig and hk. my Walthers may be striker fired but all 4 of them are p99 modles. two 9mm and two .40. duty size a and compact of each.
@MatteoSixSeventyFour7 жыл бұрын
james swan Nope has nothing to do with cost. The CM9's internals are based on the Tanfoglio's version of the CZ design. At this time Tanfoglio does not have a decocker.
@beretta92x937 жыл бұрын
MatteoSixSeventyFour the cz 75 omega comes with a decocker and the cz75 bd comes with one. some 75 guns don't but at least you can get one with the 75.
@MatteoSixSeventyFour7 жыл бұрын
james swan Exactly my point. That's the CZ75. Not the Tanfoglio. And there are differences in their systems. Furthermore the omega trigger is a different system from the 75BD.
@beretta92x937 жыл бұрын
MatteoSixSeventyFour I guess I worded myself wrong. I know the omega is a convertible that can be set up both ways. but I just believe any da/as gun should have a decocker to safely lower the hammer. these guns are not 1911 guns,so the safety should be irrelevant,the da first pull should be the safety. it's just how I feel. I don't care if others carry or use this type of gun,I am all for anyone having firearms regardless of budget. I guess it's the mechanic on me questioning the no decocker install.
@MatteoSixSeventyFour7 жыл бұрын
James Swan The Omega system is set up to be convertable. Whereas the older BD is not. And the Tanfoglio system is slightly different off shoot of the BD. Closer to the Pre B but with some slight differences. To have a decocker in the older ( _non Omega_ ) systems, the hammer has to be replaced and the appropriate parts installed into the fire control unit. And then it is a decocker only. Don't get me wrong I like a decocker. But it isn't a deal breaker. If you use the top of your thumb as a wedge to slowly lower the hammer. Or the side of your thumb either on or just under the first knuckle and roll it toward the top of the slide you can lower the hammer safely without an ND. I've owned some form of a CZ variant since 97/98. And carried one since 05. FYI Sarsilmaz bought their tooling from Tanfoglio. Which is why their guns internals are primarily Tanfoglio copies
