He used to host the morning show on Doordarshan. Very polished, and a warm personality, he speaks English with such elan that it seems he was born to this language. Coupled with his scholarship, he is indeed a persuasive speaker.

Very Good Mr Deepak, speaking of the positive of India. Unfortunately there are people who only like to hear about the negative and bad stories of India. The shift in world balance is taking place as rightfully explained and Asia will again be the leaders and the west will never again go to exploit India and all eastern countries, they will go only with a begging bowl.

GANDHINAGAR: In a blow to the government’s claims of socio-economic development, the number of families below the poverty line (BPL) in Gujarat 👆👆👆👆 increased by 18,932 in the last two years, 👆👆👆👆 the state government admitted in the assembly, in reply to starred questions by Congress MLAs. yeah sure. You mean the Italian Mafia which is funding the conversion mafia would have made billions of $ if MMS continued. When the disease was/is spreading, we need a surgical doctor and that is what is happening right now. Having a Dhanvantri in your name, you should understand it better. Your ideologue MMS did nothing good for India when he was the PM but , was a successful babu when he was working for PV Narasimha Rao and Dr. Subramaniam Swamy . If you are commenting on a video which is meant for intellectuals, I really pity your "level" of knowledge. Even God cannot help India if we have folks like you discussing topics like this.

He did not speak about population explosion, unemployment, rural backwardness. India as a united country never existed before 1947. He did not touch upon princely states. At the time of the British withdrawal, 565 princely states were officially recognised in the Indian subcontinent,[3] apart from thousands of zamindari estates and jagirs. In 1947, princely states covered 40% of area of pre-independence India and constituted 23% of its population. Hundreds of kingdoms were fighting against each other all over the sub continent of India. South India Dynasties of Satavahana, Chola, Chera, Pandyan, Chalukya, Pallava, Rashtrakuta, Kakatiya, Seuna (Yadava) dynasty and Hoysala were at their peak during various periods of history. These Dynasties constantly fought amongst each other.

India as a country came into being only in 1947. At the time of Indian independence in 1947, India was divided into two sets of territories, one under direct British rule, and the other under the suzerainty of the British Crown, with control over their internal affairs remaining in the hands of their hereditary rulers. The latter included 552 princely states, having different types of revenue sharing arrangements with the British, often depending on their size, population and local conditions. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_integration_of_India
@gimmmehope
@gimmmehope 4 жыл бұрын
The rulers of the princely states were not uniformly enthusiastic about integrating their domains into independent India. Some, such as the rulers of Bikaner and Jawhar, were motivated to join India out of ideological and patriotic considerations,[24] but others insisted that they had the right to join either India or Pakistan, to remain independent, or form a union of their own.[25] Bhopal, Travancore and Hyderabad announced that they did not intend to join either dominion.[26] Hyderabad went as far as to appoint trade representatives in European countries and commencing negotiations with the Portuguese to lease or buy Goa to give it access to the sea,[27] and Travancore pointed to the strategic importance to western countries of its thorium reserves while asking for recognition.[28] Some states proposed a subcontinent-wide confederation of princely states, as a third entity in addition to India and Pakistan.[29] Bhopal attempted to build an alliance between the princely states and the Muslim League to counter the pressure being put on rulers by the Congress.

The era of the princely states effectively ended with Indian independence in 1947. By 1950, almost all of the principalities had acceded to either India or Pakistan.[7] The accession process was largely peaceful, except in the cases of Jammu and Kashmir (whose ruler opted for independence but decided to accede to India following an invasion by Pakistan-based forces),[8] Hyderabad (whose ruler opted for independence in 1947, followed a year later by the police action and annexation of the state by India), Junagadh (whose ruler acceded to Pakistan, but was annexed by India). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Princely_state

By the Indian Independence Act 1947, the British gave up their suzerainty of the states and left each of them free to choose whether to join one of the newly independent countries of India and Pakistan or to remain outside them. For a short time, some of the rulers explored the possibility of a federation of the states separate from either, but this came to nothing. Most of the states then decided to accede to India or to Pakistan, such as Junagadh (1947-1948), Hyderabad on 18 September 1948, Bilaspur on 12 October 1948, and Bhopal on 1 May 1949. Travancore also chose to remain an independent country. In Jammu and Kashmir, a state with a Muslim majority but a Hindu ruler, the Maharaja hoped to remain independent but acceded to India on 27 October 1947 at the outset of the invasion of Jammu and Kashmir by Pakistan - leading to the Indo-Pakistani War of 1947. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_princely_states_of_British_India_(by_region)
