Bloody awesome! Thank you for giving us all an insight into the proper tuning process.. I’m definitely guilty of using the mixture screw to make it drive well 😅

Thanks for a awesome video. I didn't know that the dash pot oil would make so much difference. I have a moggy with a 1275 Marina engine in it. I swapped oil for thicker one and it's running so much better on acceleration.

This is my point people don’t know how these carbs work.

Great series, where can we get hold of a Lambda reading machine??
@ACDodd2 ай бұрын
You build you own using a dash mounted wideband gauge. Then you get yourself some training, as the use of these is not as straightforward as shown.

@@ACDodd So as a DIYer, theres only so much we can do at home without the correct kit? yes we can do plug gaps, valve clearances, correct coil, maybe timing etc but if we cant see what the mix is then we are stuffed

@@karlgt9989that’s always been the case. However if you install a wideband guage you can at least monitor your own fueling while you drive

I think rolling roads today don't understand how SUs work as most are now dealing with modern fuel injection

Sadly you are correct, but I do offer training for those operators that want to invest.

You'd be a great Teacher if you explained things more slowley and as if you weren't the smartest guy on the planet about SU Carbs and distributors 😄
