More so for Martina. Before she was a star, she headlined a Pat Benatar tribute group and was a mega fan. I saw an interview where she talked about meeting Pat and being amazed that she knew and liked HER songs.

My favorite deep cut of hers is her cover of Alan Parsons' "Don't Let it Show". It shows another side - the classically trained opera singer. Her mother was an opera singer and got her into choir and theater and opera training. She was supposed to audition for Julliard, but her boyfriend in the military bagged her to go with him instead and she did.

Pat Bentatar can still belt out a song! She has lost some of her 80's power but she is still very much in the game. Martina was in awe of her. I am sure Martina could have hit those big notes but when your idol sings your song, you let them own it. Love both of these ladies! Much respect to both.

I felt after watching the whole show that they both like each other’s songs. And they respect each other and admire their respective accomplishments. I just wish it could’ve happened before Pat had throat surgery bet you’d never heard a crack or pitch variation then.

By all accounts, Martina McBride is a wonderful person. I had the opportunity to meet her once in Nashville. Very humble considering the gift of her voice. For her to show such respect to Pat Benatar is amazing to watch. Something the youth of today have forgotten. Respect to those who came before you. Watching Pat sing takes me back to the late 70s and seeing her live.

I remember when this episode came out. I was floored by these two who had never met until they were approached to do this crossroads. I hope they have stayed in contact and a great friendship came out of it. They really seemed to enjoy working with each other . Especially Martine gushing inner her.

Pat Benatar has been one of my favorite female rockers for a long time. I can image her singing this when she was younger when her voice wasn't quite as raspy. I still loved the duet.

A lot of talent on that stage combining to capture lightning in a bottle. I’ll always cherish being stage front at an outdoor Benatar concert in 2017 and getting a high five from her and a guitar pick from Neil. Pat’s a five foot pistol. Don’t mess with her.

I went to a Journey concert a few years back and Pat was one of the opening acts. Her and her hubby put on a show. Voice is still amazing. Journey was the headliner but Pat stole the show hands down.

A truly iconic performance by two legends. Nothing to really add to many of the spot on comments, other than you can tell in her performance here, that Pat not only has a genuine kinship for Martina, but she more than likely sang the hell out of “Independence Day”, rollin’ down the street in her ride!
