"Branchlines have seen many dramatic changes in recent years. While many have vanished, others prosper because of changing traffic patterns or new ownership. All across North America the story has been the same. Every railroad and every part of the country has seen the same transition.
Join us for an interesting behind the scenes look at five very different branch lines in Southern Ontario. Five branches, three railroads and some tough winter operating that of course includes a plow extra. Its all in Branchlines In Transition"

Thanks for this, it may help us model rail roaders weather locomotives pushing plows more accurately. Sad that end of these subs, were do to lack of revenue.

All the branch lines near me were abandoned and track removed all through the late 80's into the 90's. By 95 it was all gone, nothing left but the trunk line along the Lake Ontario hwy 401 corridor. All trucks now. Just north of me the CP Havelock sub still lingers on at 10 mph with only Unimin and IKO as paying customers, most of the spurs and sidings around PTBO have been torn up, just the mainline left dead ending east of Havelock. I give it another decade at most...

Cool to see Galt & Woodstock from my early days at CP and really cool to see my hometown of Hensall. Including a glimpse of a departed friends car (the big old white Town Car). Great stuff!
