It is never as simple as you hope it is going to be. I finally decided to upgrade to a more powerful VFD Spindle on my desktop CNC to get better performance based on viewer comments - thanks. But first, I have to make an adapter plate for the new spindle because each manufacturer seems to have their own mount spacing requirements. This got me thinking about improvements I could make in the process and how that might change the way I do this upgrade. This video describes the changes, shows making the adapters, and shows some of the limitations of the machine with the low power spindle.
