She was such a bright light and gift to this world. I had no idea she was a comedienne. I just thought she was a mean old lady with a lot of plastic surgery. Then she died and I saw a stand up special on Netflix. Started watching more and have never laughed more in my life. She helped me in dark times. I am grateful to you Joan.

Something very sleazy, burlesque about Rivers. Came from an upper middle class family in Larchmont, NY...one of those million dollar homes (more today) with a driveway fronting the property.But in her last autobiography `Enter Talking` it`s obvious the wealth was only an incitement to show biz trash to demean and to degrade. Rivers was subjected to excessive amounts of antisemitism and sexism. Excessive amounts. But even before reading the book, I had an inkling. Show biz had its ugly way with Rivers. Sad really!!

@newfanglejr2 жыл бұрын
perhaps because she cuts up everyone and probably made fun of 75% of the people who would be at these parties? She was very funny; but better at dishing it out than taking it. She exposed Hollywood (and rightly so), so it's no wonder they didn't welcome her socially.

How is it you wrote this "6-year old" comment before she died and yet claim she died 5 years earlier? (meaning she died 11 years ago???) WTF is KZfaq doing? It's bad enough they're controlling video algorithms but are they actually controlling comments too???
@SethMacLeod954 жыл бұрын
LisaDawnn it’s called a good guess haha at the time, I think the comment was more referencing that she is like a hollow shell of herself at this point with Hollywood, unnatural surgeries, etc but just happened to die a year later.
