They are happy to see a dirt poor farmer in a rural setting, barefooted, in rags, lives in a hut, few kids running about in the yard, barefooted, in oversized rags & his wife over a mud stove cooking! If city life is shown, it's the slums - not the nice neighborhoods with modern buildings; chaotic traffic - nothing orderly. However, Paul Kagame is showing it can be done. & what's all this batty about freedom? All the average bloke is concerned about is to put food on the table, put $ome in a bank account, not be hassled by civil servants for a bribe, etc! Physical & economic security. Full stop.
