My father went to an African medical convention that was held in Rwanda a couple years ago. He was amazed at how fast and how much Rwanda has improved. Ever since then, I have been tracking President Kagame. I must say I’m impressed. The man is a visionary.

Call it madness, but there are those who don't want to see modernity & urbanization in African countries! They are happy to see a dirt poor farmer in a rural setting, barefooted, in rags, lives in a hut, few kids running about in the yard, barefooted, in oversized rags & his wife over a mud stove cooking! If city life is shown, it's the slums - not the nice neighborhoods with modern buildings; chaotic traffic - nothing orderly. However, Paul Kagame is showing it can be done. & what's all this batty about freedom? All the average bloke is concerned about is to put food on the table, put $ome in a bank account, not be hassled by civil servants for a bribe, etc! Physical & economic security. Full stop.

It's heartbreaking how being a compassionate, brilliant, selfless leader in Africa is a crime in the eyes of the European and anglosphere powers. Africa could have achieved so much more if Lumumba and Sankara didn't get killed for simply being good leaders

@@ragamuffinhooligan4019 well said !! Couldn't have put it better. O e of the things that amuses me is when white people do tourism in our countries. They would go out their way to go find bare feet children and huts to post on their social media and blogs.Sometimes they work hard at trying to find those places. The nice gardens, museums aren't interesting enough for their followers. They want a little " poverty porn"

@@corianderhater it's a crime mostly in the eye of the western leftists. They need to justify their " aid" . They label anyone with strong policies as " strongman" right winger. Lol. They always mix up their labelling of african leaders unsure if they're right or left. The anglophile leftists associate with nationalists rights when it comes to african politics( ironically).

This country will make history when it becomes fully developed. It is similar to South Korea. South Korea suffered during a terrible war and in 1960 was one of the poorest nations in the world. Lacked resources yet became incredibly rich and is one of the richest nations in the world. Rwanda had a terrible genocide and has some resources, but its future is focused on services and exporting advanced technology. Good luck I am closely watching you Rwanda.

For those countries that believe in Western democracy and freedom and follow in the footsteps of the West, those countries that believe in China's win-win investment and learn from the Chinese model, you can compare the status quo of these countries. While he was there he went on many aid missions to give many people from the rest of Africa running water and pumps and wells etc. They did this in stages, but 90% of the time when they returned after the first installments, to perfrom maintainance and build more, they found that the wells and pumps etc were missing or destroyed. This is just one person's accounts. Please don't paint with such broad strokes, you miss the detail.

The trade not aid concept is much easier appreciated by people immersed in Chinese culture, with the Chinese saying "Helping the needy not the poor". And even worse, with entrenched welfare industry, the law can never be repealed...
