CNN reporter ‘perplexed’ after polling sees 'seismic shift' with Black voters for Trump

Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to CNN data reporter Harry Enten appearing to be “perplexed” after recent polling found that former US president Donald Trump is headed for “historic levels” of support from Black voters.
The network’s political data reporter on Monday (local time) claimed he was ‘speechless’ by the recent polling.
The data showing Joe Biden’s lead among Black voters under the age of 50 has declined over the past couple of years from 80 points in 2020 to 37 points in 2024.
“Even a broken clock is right twice a day, so I was interested in this analysis from CNN on the historic levels of support the Republicans are getting from black folk under Trump,” Ms Panahi said.
“They are perplexed - the folk at CNN, but they acknowledge this is a seismic shift.”

Well according to my daily understanding we have one president at a time. I enjoy everyday know that the country is lead by a man of integrity and honesty who is amiable. My existence is very good under who ever is in government because I pray for those in authority over us. I also respect the freedom I have as an American especially the right to vote. Right now as I write my comment I am so thankful for my life as an American citizen. As a child in the 1950s we were drilled in case of a nuclear weapon attack, in the 1960s it was assassinations the Vietnam war and the march for civil rights. In the 1970s it was Watergate. In the 1980s it was the Savings and Loan scandal and the fall of the Soviet Union. In the 1990s it was the Republican take over the House of Representatives. In the 2000s it was the political involvement of the Supreme Court in a presidential election, terror attacks, voter suppression, financial collapse, rise of white supremacy, police brutality, attack on Capitol, gun violence. Through it all I have learned to trust in God.

Even people that don’t like anything about him are still joining his side because of the clear political prosecutions / weaponization of the justice system . Even people who refuse to vote for Trump would rather not vote than vote for Biden again both because he’s physically incapable of the job, and also because his administration has shown that they have no problem with encouraging and aiding in political prosecutions and trying to stomp out political descent.

I remember my late 90 years old mother a staunch democrat telling me her 71 years old independent black woman that one day I would become a democrat. She was so very right. Today I cannot wait to once again support the reelection of president Biden and all democrats. The last republican I voted for was John McCain in 2008 and independent Bernie Sanders in 2016. I foresee the 2024 election being the largest in American history of voters turnout for a nation built on the rights given to the individual to choose the government to represent them.
