I am a Kenyan and Ruto....the president, has refused to listen to his people. His MPs(204) were paid each Ksh 2 million to pass a finance bill that will see an increase in taxes for the employed, resulting in at least 42% taxes in our paychecks. He also does not address the fact that our lands, passed down through inheritance will now become state owned should the bill be passed. We cannot be leasing our ancestral lands from the government. The bill is punitive and crippling, and it will see our already hard lives become impossible to live. The Kenyan youth are fighting for a better future which this bill now threatens.

Truthfuly, police were also seen carrying the loots. The main issue is we were rejecting corruption, thieves take advantage, but the main issue is we are tired of a corrupt president, we can rebuild without them and go back to the days when good leadership saw our country grow.
@cinny_2 күн бұрын
It doesn't. As you heard him say, there are people who took and take advantage of protests and demonstrations to loot. That was not in our moral code as demonstrators. It was always emphasized to keep it peaceful and avoid damaging properties. Unfortunately, when it's a large large crowd, you can't control anybody. Even the police themselves usually do looting during demos like this.
