I am in my twilight years and I fear for the world that my grandchildren are going to inherit. The mass dumbing down of people so that they are more easily distracted and manipulated. Here in NZ we have a whole television company that quite literally only shows so called reality shows. These shows are so mind numbing I just do not see the point, but our young ones love them. I grant you, I was in college prep classes in high school. I have two associates degrees, but 🤦‍♀️ I live in a very rural, very Republican area. We had to write reports, term papers, research papers; we weren't allowed to use calculators until I got into chemistry class. We didn't have graphing calculators for geometry. We studied Shakespeare and many other literature giants. We watched C-Span to help learn about our government. I am not quite middle aged yet. People should be getting smarter, but they aren't. The lack of education and real life information that those people possess is terrifying.
