CNW/Chicago RTA commuter trains at Clinton St. in the Early 80s (HD Repost)

3 жыл бұрынNot the best quality, but here again is Chicago RTA (the predecessor to Metra) commuter trains at Clinton St. tower, where the CNW North and West Lines split. My guess is this is around 1980. This is Super 8 sound film that was transferred to Hi8 videotape in the 1990s. However, it's being displayed at its original framerate of 18fps, and was digitzed with better hardware and software than before. The whole clip was either shot or transferred overexposed. There's nothing I can really do about it.

Nice video! It is very interesting to see what railroading in Chicago looked like back in the early 1980s! Really interesting!

Great to see This video ! I visited Chicago in 1979 and had lots of fun taking photos of all the railroads in the area. At the time a firm, the big R tour, made railroad tours for fans. They where super. We could visit a lot of trainshops and yards that if still there would be inpossible to go near today. I just finished scanning my slides. These really where the days ! Thanks.
