as an electrician i use the same gate opener fist time mime went out i checked for power and ir was reading ok but not ok you need to actually use a meter that reads the 110v plus power supply, so mine had a neutral wire loose re-connected it and it worked, then went out again couple months later this time it would take a longggggg time to pick up remote frequency to open but not close so thisntime it was the stop magnets with time i guess the endup not being close enought to detect magmetic signal so i put washers and it worked plis make sure chain adjustimg bolt it not gettimg too close to motor because if the fear jumps to the bolt one tooth it womt go anywhere i do believe turningnpower off resets motor but still keeps the previous remotes workimg just fine, it motherboard goes out im.almlst certain it had an unbalance power load like a loose neutral so power had no where to go but to fry motherboard know that ac current mean Alternating Current so it will need the neutral wire for it to operate properly!

Armando, not an electrician here so I am hoping you can give me a remote hand. I got the same problem as the gentleman in this video. I have a basic tester. both wires (load and neutral) show 127v, is that OK? For context, my gate opener worked just fine for months... then it suddenly stopped working. I suspected the fuse, changed it, no results. Then I ordered a new motherboard, plugged everything in as best I could, no results. Left the old one in. Now I have ordered an entire motor which will arrive in a few weeks but I am worried it could be the loose neutral like you mentioned. My concern is I don't know who that could've gotten disconnected so I may be troubleshooting it wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, the bane of KZfaq, trying to do one thing with one hand and hold the camera in the other. Just doesn't work. But thank you for putting that out there, it looks like I may have the same problem. Mine will open, but not close.

Company was good to replace ours after this video was made to show us trouble shooting it. I received the new one in about a week. Hopefully this one will last longer.

I have the same gate opener do you know where to get a manual release key? We just bought this house so we have no idea where to get a key.

Use a bobby pin. Just cut the round tip with some pliers. Thats what I did with mine and just leave the locks open all the time. You can still close it and it works fine and looks normal. Its just not locked.

You have a bad circuit board, need to swap out

Mine just had the same issue, power coming into the unit but no lights on the mother board.

Replace the 2 small 3a fuse on board

@@reyhanreyhani4263which fuses? Mine does have a red light on but doesn’t operate with either the remote or with the wired button.

I am write in spanglish,because iam cuban,maybe half english half spanish,but,before say no solución,you are wrong,chequea you neutral,necesitas know continuidad,in neutral,ground o el black,after that chequea el fuse in front you,and more,never say no tengo solución.
