Absolutely!!!that cultural connection & Nubian love has transformed that young brothers life in a multifaceted manner. He has been receiving the " word" as a function of his life's journey, along with gems of interpersonal relationships among brothers from a father figures perspective; his academic education from a nurturing HBCU environment & greatest top tier coaching from his mentor( straight out of high school). That should serve as a Caveat of truisms to irrefutably attract young brothers & sisters, not only athletes back to our beloved HBCUs without even a second thought about those PWI/ HWCU that have only being pimping our talented youngsters & the moment they make a mistake....it's off with their heads, racist gestapo police with guns trained on them like criminals or even worst. As a tertiary professor I have been advocating this 4 decades & it please my dou to see this genesis of a cultural awakening / revolution. God bless Deion Sanders ( Couch Prime) JSU & all our HBCU'S even the ones struggling mightily at the lower tiers. It is my constant supplication that some of the old HBCUS U that were closed, such as Lincoln college in Illinois near Chicago & St Paul's College vin Virginia can somehow be reopened.
