Also, remember he said to save or just put away, at least 25% of your income. 'The Richest Man in Babylon' by George S. Clason says to pay yourself first 10% minimum. Just put it away and don't touch it for a long time and only when you need it or when you're investing it. Amazon started out at $18 per share back in 1997. If you had invested only $3K back then, you'd have over $1M today.

I did all these things Gonzalo advises and I was a millionaire at 41. My goal was 40, but I missed by $50K. Not bad. It took 18 years of hard work, scrimping, saving, and sacrifice; and sticking to the master plan, but I did it. Anyone can do it.

I've been happily married for 37 years, have two great kids and am a multi millionaire. These guys are giving you good advice. It's not like it's an easy ride. It's a very fulfilling ride.

Gmail 1 thanks for answering. I’m 31 and really need to start something other than just have a job at a warehouse. Getting a real estate license is not “that” hard and some people tell me to just go for it. My dad worked in construction and probably would have created his own business but because of his older age and a language barrier he never did(he can build a house from the ground up, but he’s 72 now) How did you go about getting to where you are now?

@Gmail1, what’s your marriage advice sir?
@user-nh4tm6hh4j3 жыл бұрын
@@dvcsub A real estate license is good but the way I did it was to build wealth in real estate. Buy a rental. To do this it is best to have considerable equity in your own home first. Real estate is actually a very complicated business. You need to understand what creates value in a piece of real estate. How marketing works. How construction works and how day to day management of the property works. My wife and I started in a 12 x 60 mobile home. today 40 years later I'm worth around five million dollars. It doesn't happen overnight but that is actually a good thing. There is plenty of time to learn each step as you need to. I bought a book called real estate investments and how to make them when I was in my early twenties. Very plain language about how the real estate game works. Send me an email if you have a specific question cag@bluemarble.net

Why do people care about Ferari's? My favorite car is a Toyota Corrola/Camry cause of how reliable they are. I see a fancy car and all i can think about is how high the maintenance bill is after a year or 5 down the line... Even if i had billions i couldn't justify that.

I think rented would be a better way. I believe some rich folk own such cars because of bragging rights or something. I myself would just get a Lexus or reliable brand and make it as luxurious as I could. Im glad i bought a used camry that I own outright instead of a depreciating value new car.

If you MUST attend college, go for STEM. Even a bachelor here will open doors in your mind that'll make gaining more knowledge easier. If you don't wanna do that, then either study law or perhaps psychology. The latter mostly for yourself. And being able to do sys-admin / IT-admin-work won't go out of fashion anytime soon either. If you wanna go that way, there are MANY nice exams that both Cisco and Microsoft offers - costly, but not as much as a college degree. My (now old) MCSA-exam has been worth it's weight many times over. I took it while working full time, and it took 1½ years of round-the-clock working, but it has opened MANY doors. Also : Be diligent! If you offer quality-products / solutions to the world, the world WILL notice - sooner or later. So, no half-assed products/solutions!

Coke is definitely worse than booze, but booze is still right up there at the top of the list of things you shouldn't do.
@TheUnknow3 жыл бұрын
I think he was trying to say that the problem with booze is a lot more subtle. There is acceptance in society, people use it hard on every party they get. But everyone knows coke is gonna destroy you, your life, your family and your neighbors... We dont take alcohol seriously... or at least not as seriously as we should.
@dougyeefresh873 жыл бұрын
Casual drinking is fine. It's when you binge or abuse it. You're basically putting poison in your body especially shots.
@seanbauer42253 жыл бұрын
The only reason coke is worse than booze is because it’s way more addictive. The actual effect of booze is worse. It’s easier to have coke take over you’re life.

I think some people go to school because it demands them to read and learn which is something they wouldn't do on they're own. Some people come out of university smarter than when they came in and that might be worth it to them. But if there was a way they could teach themselves things before falling into the trap of school it would be good.
