𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝟵 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰.
The ANC has been the governing party in South Africa for 30 years - gaining majorities in each election since 1994. Until now. A poor record of service delivery, staggering unemployment, corruption, and rising crime have seen the ANC's popularity wane. And in last month’s national election, its support plummeted to just over 40 per cent. The loss of faith in the ANC comes as former President Jacob Zuma capitalises on a surge of popularity for his MK Party, which has captured the hearts, minds and votes of the people of KwaZulu-Natal and, to a degree, Gauteng. It’s a catastrophic result for the humbled ANC which now forces it to consider governing nationally in coalition for the first time in its history. For the next ten days, critical discussions will happen behind closed doors while anxious South Africans await a result. Carte Blanche examines why this shift has happened, and how it might shape the future of governance in our country for the next five years.

This is a very old episode. There has been no violence or instability in the country. The anc and da, did come together despite the history of this country.

Keep it simple. The electorate gave this government a clear mandate. Representation in cabinet should be proportional to the vote. Anything else would be undermining the people's will.

Guptas had 5% in our economy , of which they would have dived amongst their Indian community and because of that. You'll call it "State Capture" when our Diamonds and Gold are reaped off in our country by the American mines...as well Oppenheimers with their own Private Airport base Those Funding Rise Mzansi are state captures - Aiming to divide black people even more in South Africa. Zuma is a Pan Afrikanist - under his leadership people had own small business and survived with their families...

The people don't need anc, da, mk, eff or whatever power hungry group they just need individuals who are ready to maintain the country economically wise as the country is nothing without a thriving economy for its people to live in abundance. Cause most of these politicians don't need job opportunities or new connections cause they already somewhere in life but so selfish to not bring them to pace, just playing mind games against eachother and using the same people who they don't actually really care about, only care when they want to use them for power play.

Cabinet should ultimately be made up of 3 parties. ANC, DA, IFP. NO ONE ELSE HAS ENOUGH OF THE VOTE TO DEMAND A POSITION.

The DA and IFP have every right to demand their fair share of cabinet positions. The smaller parties, less than 3% of the vote, should not get a cabinet post.

Well part of it is to keep the ANC accountable and prevent corruption from happening like before.
