That’s one fabulous boat, a real beauty! I remember seeing it being built in a visit by Leo a few years years back.

Fabulous boat....I bet Leo can't wait to get his boat into the water, I have been following him and his visits to the Coastal Cutter Pellew.

Yep. Been their, done that, got the t-shirt. Super video! There's nothing quite like the atmosphere and sense of occasion on Pellew not to speak of Luke's sense of humour and Jo's cakes.🥰

Luke, Jo and Pellew are all magic. I am looking forward to my third trip on Pellew at the Falmouth Classics & Sea Shanty Festival in June. Merv

Wonderful video. Thank you. I have a beautiful little Collin Archer design gaff cutter built about 1970 by a friend living where Cancun Mexico is now. Unfortunately, due to illness in the family, she has been in storage in Florida. ,Pennsylvania, and now back to Florida. She's a real blue water boat ,24ft. Quite a few experienced sailors have wanted to buy her, but their women object.

Such a magnificent vessel, congratulations to you for building it. With that being said, we would surely love to see Eric performing in 40 plus knots though.

Yeah I play a game called Sailwind. In one of the starting area, you have square-rigged ships. Using the Squares to back from dock is very handy. BTW love the video.

Imagine doing the sail raise without a motor or getting underway without an engine. Nice video of the vessel underway. It is something I recall but never see now.

Yes, a design that is so foolproof that it might master any given sea. A boat that gives immediately the assurance of speed and safety. But also to feel very comfortable at. Look how she behaves, ease and calmness. A boat to be very happy with.

True, I am amazed, normally my audience views are around eight. It's very encouraging, also rewarding for the time committed to stitch it altogether.

This is a beautiful boat!!! Excellent one!!! I love it!!! But... looking at this video someone can think sailing means that first you "having lunch" and then you go to the deck to eat butter and bread and so on 😂

Doing it tough just like in the old days!

Lol, what a contrast- I was just watching a review of a new sailboat that can be operated from the helm by literally pushing buttons. Not quite so easy on a beautiful wooden boat like Pellew. 😊

Beautiful boat. If I were rich.... Instead I'll be forced to sail my tartan 31 in the Caribbean for a year. I do love the look of the older boats though.

What's on the front of the small boat (the one that has "ss268" on the bow) that keeps coming up to the sail boat? It looks like something used to help retrieve a fishing net or a line

Hi Mitch, it's the boats harbour registration number SS stands for St. Ives, and the two gentlemen were going out to check their Lobster pots.

So she's in charter/tour service? I'd figured she'd been commissioned as a rich man's toy. Not that there is anything wrong with either.

Black foul weather gear makes no sense. But, I suppose it is the fashion. Like black cycling gear.

There was a full wardrobe of colourful sailing gear available George, but everyone chose black as we were all going on to a formal dinner later.

Hi Paul, thanks for your interest. Nice boat, yes Pellow; 'My she was yar' (to quote Tracey Lord). None of us were bored as there was plenty of bored games if it was wet outside. Not one us were over twenty two and many of us had saved for the trip by not informing the authorities that family members had died, thus enabling us to continue claiming their pensions. And also the reason we didn't go for solar panels, couldn't risk a cloudy day and the freezer stop working. (Shh..Please don't make all that common knowledge, thats just between you and I). Diversity? Gerold was Austrian, and many of us by the end of the week were able to copy his accent so that he felt more comfortable amongst us. Because we are just nice people. Hope that helps to clarify some of your comments. Best wishes, Harry Volting

I agree@@commodore_jack81, we were all adults, Good swimmers and not in dangerous sea conditions. But you're on a poor wicket if you try to defend yourself against a non safe practice, it just invites controversy. I thought the sand castle competition had more danger.

@@Harryvolting 🤣. I have always wanted a gaff cutter... it is my favourite type of ship. What about you ?
