Showing you guys how easy it is to forage and make something good to eat out of it! You can forage for these shellfish any day of the week even if the tide isn't very low.

This reminds me a lot of when I was a kid and my grandma and I used to go to the tide pools. We used to forage opihi and pipipi and such and she would cook them up. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Loved it, please keep making these. Reminded me of the time I went to Pescadero on a road trip from Vancouver and bought Artichoke bread (2017) and when I cooked up seafood on the rocks by a river in Nova Scotia, years ago. I started singing "Memories" when you bought out the artichoke bread. ;} :}

This video is super informative and I can’t wait to get out and give it a try... but CA needs to lift the COVID quarantine before I can get out to the coast! This is my favorite video on your channel so far, but I'm new here. A book I'd recommend is kinda old school and not West Coast centered but Euell Gibbons' book, Stalking the Blue-Eyed Scallop is a porthole into the past. He was environmentalist in the sense he thinks we should eat our environment and do the things to make that sustainable. I'm glad I found your channel. Clam on, dude!

A limpet, a length of string, and a safety pin put together are great for catching crabs with. Tie the pin to an end of the string and scoop out the meat of the limpet. Push the pin through the meat and close the pin. Lower the meat over the edge of an overhang of rock or a dock/jetty and wait. Crab will grab hold, and you can gently pull it up.
