Mahdia is a Tunisian coastal city located in the center-east of the country, about 200 kilometers south of the capital of Tunis. Originally built on a peninsula 1,400 meters long by 500 meters wide, it is home to one of the first fishing ports of the country. The tourist activity weighs more and more in the local economy.

Really good video, unfortunately not many detailed video’s available online about Mahdia and its history, someone needs to make videos about things to do in Mahdia etc.

Endlich mal passende angenehme Musikuntermalung! Sehr erfreulich. Danke dafür. - unvergesslich ist der Friedhof - oben auf dem Hügel, schon fast wie im Himmel. Dann noch dieses Café mit der Treppe hinunter bis zum Meer - am besten bei Vollmond abends besuchen. Wer schlecht zu Fuß ist, kann fast bis ganz hinauf fahren. Einer der schönsten Orte in ganz Tunesien ( das ich besser kenne als Deutschland).

So far, it is the best reportage about this lovely city. The only thing is maybe the music, which is not compatible with the content of the video. The rest is 10/10❤

On my travels in june I will be stopping in mahdia. As a single male traveller are there any places to avoid or is the city safe to explore.

Mahdia is not very large and I would say I felt safe, as a solo traveller, at all times. Tunisians are very welcoming.
