I find it crazy that the two manufacturers used heavily by Disney are Arrow and Vekoma, which aren’t rated exceptionally well. I can confirm DC Rivals is amazing. I’m not sure it’s worth coming to Australia for, but if you go to any part of Australia for a job or something, it is probably worth it to travel to the Gold Coast for DC Rivals alone, it’s that good, especially if ridden in row 10 or 11. That first camelback has you out of your seat for nearly five seconds in row 10 (the farther forward you are, the worse it gets so if you’re not using the single rider line, sit as far back as possible).

@@parkesyreviewsstuff7587 it’s not that Mack has “slipped down” they just haven’t been building coasters for as long as B&M and Intamin. If parks in the states start buying and building Mack coasters they’ll build a bigger portfolio, and maybe some day they’ll build a giga, one can only hope. If you want some insane and imposing hot ticket coaster to attract thrill seekers and coaster veterans to your park, you go for RMC. And if you want something truly mold breaking, unique, and aren't afraid of doing something risky, you go for Intamin.

You absolutely right. While I do enjoy RMC rides more, Intamin just has such a diverse portfolio of great attractions. B&M feels like they play it a bit more safe, afraid to offer too much airtime or G forces outside of the GP's limit. Every B&M is ultra smooth, which is great after getting beat to shreds by any park's non-RMC woody. Shout outs to S&S's 4D X clones. Hope we see more insane innovations like these and that the axis turns out to be a good ride.

*Copperhead Strike shown as blanket-statement “bad” Mack coaster* I’m kinda sick of a vocal minority acting like CHS is this affront to rollercoasters because it isn’t Skyrush. Carowinds had been desperately needing a solid family-accessible coaster, was rumored to get a GCI for ages... and then CHS happened. Instead of something bland like Invadr, the park got a ride that satisfies the less-thrillseeking members of the GP, while still having the hangtime, layout, and theming to give enthusiasts something to enjoy, too. But no, it doesn’t pull +5 gs when it launches and scare off the demographic it was made to attract, bad coaster, tear down and replace with Intamin
@AceAviations23 жыл бұрын
My biggest issue with Copperhead Strike is that it came a bit too late for me to want to see a major Mack launch coaster in the U.S. as Vekoma was kicking all kinds of ass at the time. If it came out before the contest that Energylandia had for Hyperion (IMO the Vekoma was the superior layout and the Intamin layout progressively got worse) then I'd get excited, also I think that the Shockwave model was announced before that. Also I just find the layout to be not very impressive looking, plus I find that the second launch looks like complete shit from a visual standpoint, it just looked tacked on to ensure that the ride clears the following element. Is it a bad ride, no, but for me anything short of a Vekoma launch coaster was a failure.
