You are spot on!!! I use some of the very same lures, but after getting bit off so many times, short strikes, I decided to modify these lures by adding a stinger treble hook. I use 40 lb. flexible titanium wire, and guide it through the soft lure from the back to the front hook. I'm very good using titanium wire, and #1 crimp sleeves, use it for King Mackerel all the time. Haven't lost a fish since, but bought far less replacement lures ... sorry Hogy ;-)
