A handful of different topics covered in this video, went so long I didn't tear open the radio.

Thank you for the video. I enjoyed the explanation and actually translated most of it for a good friend of mine into Portuguese. 73s W4BTK.

Would you also make a video showing how you determine modulation percentages using your scope? Thanks!

Its the limiter a biased limiter or fixed? I wad thinking about doing a biased and using one of the front potentiometers to achieve it

hello Mud. For me it was an excellent explanation of how these impedancias transformers will work. In your video you explained, that for the input transformer the process is the same. Please enlighten me. Can you tell me what impedancia these LDMOS have in the gates. Thank you very much Manuel Artur

I just got done with my first mauldulator build (separate box) and watching this makes perfect sense to me now that I've completed the project. I'd love to build something like this for my pickup. Do you happen to have plans for the preamp and compressor that are living inside the radio with the MMM board? People who don't prefer clipping your limiter: Neighbors whose toasters are talking to them.

First run a gain curve of the amplifier to find where the gain compression begins, this will be the peak power limit of the amplifier… the 500 watt rating of that amplifier is it’s saturation power..

Cool to see how compression affects AM amplification. I'm currently working on a mirror predistorter to try and linearize an LDMOS design.

Would you do this to other people’s radios. And if so what would you charge for the work

Not any time soon. Maybe some day when I've perfected the audio.

We didn't get to look inside the radio like you had said in the beginning we'd get to do.

This is all common knowledge but not everyone knows about it lol the SC2879 transistor has a 4 watt dead key input. One to 2 watts is ideal. That Stock mic has to go lol. Astatic 636L are Quality sounding noise cancelling mics.

@@MudDuckSharky you mentioned “mauldulator”. Is your unit from MMM?
@MudDuckSharky3 жыл бұрын
@@johnnywood8082 yes. The circuit board anyway, not the whole radio.
