Cobra Kai season 5 doesn’t hold back in the slightest. With legendary characters like Terry Silver and Mike Barnes making their return from the original Karate Kid world, we’re definitely in for a ride. This season has a lot of major arcs and storylines, but one that really speaks up is Daniel LaRusso’s complex feelings about Terry Silver’s return. He knows what kind of person Terry is and he doesn’t trust him. The problem lies with the fact that he’s the only one. So, naturally, Daniel finds himself in more than one major fight. In this video we’ll be talking about all the prep that went into choreographing some of these major fight scenes between Daniel and Terry, Daniel and Chozen, and of course, Dark Sam versus Light Sam. We absolutely loved learning about how Mary Mouser’s scene was shot in the void. It was actually her and her stunt double performing the sequence together. This caused quite a bit of a practical complication when it came to shooting. Since Mary Mouser’s stunt double, Selkie Hom, was also playing a version of Sam, Mary had to be able to do all of the moves by herself - Selkie couldn’t step in for her. We’ve also got real weapons coming into play as well, so extra precaution needs to be taken. We’ll be diving deep into all of this and more, so stick around until the end of the video if you want to consider yourself an expert on all things Cobra Kai.
