Thanks! It's the Medical Emergency Response Intervention Team. There's only one and they respond to serious medical injuries and incidents.

9.35 nice old rotating beacons on it what is it? Police? shame re the idiot in the car holding it up they should be banned from driving

+John Johnstone Yeah it is nice old rotators, it's a police van yes. That was a rather silly driving error by the person infront, how-ever I think a driver correction course would suffice.

wonder why something s new as that still has beacons? it was very silly by the car driver yes bit of panic there silly sod just bloody move!

Not sure - 2010 reg, quite a few vehicles from West Mercia around then still had beacons! I know right - the road's full of non-confident, silly and often idiotic drivers.

I saw a Merc van in York a couple of years back it belonged to West Yorks it was on a 52 plate that had beacons and shocked me it was still in service given it's age, saw a van the same age on another KZfaq vid it belonged to Cheshire that had beacons too but not seen anything as modern with beacons! I think they look better and are far more visable, not keen on the LED set ups most have and interesting to note a fair few American fire departments seems to be going back to beacons

Yeah the Met also had quite a lot of Merc vans with full rotating lightbars along the top - from 2004-2015 (Filmed loads). I like them as well, at night you can see them from far off and coming around corners - plus they don't blind you. How-ever at day they are quite difficult to see if they have rotating halogens. But rotating LED beacons I think are a great idea - as they're highly visible day and night, and the other reasons listed above. I have also noticed a lot of American Fire Departments going back to beacons, how-ever these are rotating LEDs - as seen in New York City - same for the NYPD and EMS. In France most emergency vehicles have rotating LED beacons, as I've filmed myself.
