I love it when Hawk says "Enemies for a day, Cobra Kai for life." Hawk remembers that Miguel was there for him even before his transformation and introduced to him Cobra Kai. Even though Dimitri was there for Hawk too, he represents the weakness and vulnerability that Hawk wants to leave behind, which is why he hates him so much in season 2. In essence, Dimitri is a constant reminder that somewhere deep inside, Hawk is still the frightened, weak kid, and that he needs to face that demon eventually.

@@jmanzew4146 Something Hawk Says in a flashback scene in an earlier episode made me realize that he was always a prick, he was just too timid to be stronger. "I'm never going to have anyone other than Dimitri as my friend" not "Dimitri is the only one who doesnt make fun of me" or "Dimitri is my only friend" Something about the way he said it tells me he didn't really want to be friends with Dimitri, but he had no choice because Dimitri was the only one who didnt judge him. He quickly forgot how he went into Cobra Kai, Miguael standing up to a bully in defense of a friend. I think these scenes are intentional, and I hope Hawk does eventually realize that the path he is walking down is a dangerous one.

I’m a graduate of 1985 and I can’t tell you how grateful and happy I am to see the younger generation appreciate the 80”s as much as we did, it truly was an amazing time. In the 80”s you also had such a variety of music to choose from that no matter how you felt you could find a song that touched your soul at that moment; now we had to find it on the radio or MTV or a cassette tape but it was there. Gen X has been waiting a long time for the 80”s to return and I hope it lasts long enough for the magic to be experienced by all ❤️

I think his best years are behind him as he just doesn't have a very physically fit body for someone trained in Karate. Still love the amount of respect to the original that the writers preserved. From the original actors, to the entire original soundtrack to the flashbacks!! 😃

Seriously, I can't see anyone with that 'physique' having the stamina needed to cope with the usual 40-50 minute Karate class irl and if the first female to start Cobra Kai under Johnny's tutelage was still training she would've lost most of the extra weight. It's a pity the writers didn't get authentic in this sense but maybe they went for inclusivity i.e. deliberately having an evidently overweight female in the 'badass' Cobra Kai?

I agree that Johnny is the heart of this series but at the same time i think Daniel, Miguel, Sam and Robbies storylines are also well done in their own ways. Just because they don't have the charisma of Johnny doesn't mean that they don't have good stories as well.

It shows a contrast difference between Johnny and Danny. Johnny picked up on Miguel and Tory's relationship almost immediately. Robby has been living in Danny's house and Danny still has no clue.

Don't think that robby is getting some action from sam though, I do agree that danny has been abandoning his own duties in life fixated on the wrong priorities but, who could blame danny for what the cobra 🐍 kai karate group put him through in the original karate kid film along with the third installment terry silver plus cobra 🐍 kai karate group sensei Kreese did give him nice and good plus Terry's 3 mercenaries though, danny was proven correct in episode 10

What it must be like to have been a teen or in your twenties and see the Karate Kid movies in the theatre and now see this show must be incredible! The production and respect for the characters is the best I have ever seen in a franschine being brought back to life. I grew up watching Star Trek and Star Wars and they were destroyed by corporate greed and SJW's; I am so happy to see this franchise has done what they could not, make a good continuation.

She doesn't get a lot of credit in the series as a whole but Randee Heller plays her role as Lucille LaRusso (Daniel's mom) as perfectly as she did in the original movies, if not better. The scene in this episode where she's telling Daniel about her memories with his father is beautiful.
