In this video Cobus shows you how to play a 16th note groove with an off-set backbeat. What makes this groove interesting is the second snare hit which lands on the "e of 4" instead of the standard way to play it on the count 4. Enjoy!

Looks like the Sabian ISO ride. Was in the 2013 players' choice, but I'm not sure if it won (and so not sure if it is in normal production)

Nope, the one he's using has holes in it around the bell. I don't know about you, but if I had an AAX Raw Bell ride, I wouldn't risk making holes in it ;)

I think he got given the entire selection of the cymbal vote cymbals to try out, but I guess he made this lesson when he had hold of them (or got to keep them... lucky b*stard! ;)) His crash closer to his hats in this one is also the 3-Point crash, I think :)
