He's indeed the fastest. All about genetics - his dad, Jaco Reinach, who besides being a Springbok wing, was also a Springbok (National SA) athlete, who held the 400 m record (45.01 sec) for 14 years, from 1983 to 2011.

@@daviddevilliers9969 Ruan Pienaar was selected ahead of Reinach because when FdP returned from injury, everyone moved down one and Reinach was dumped. Paige got 20 minutes of rugby in total, but in my opinion, was better than Ruan Pienaar anyway. Was it politics that kept Reinach out of the Boks? Of course it was, but not the politics you are thinking of. It was the Heyneke Meyer politics of preventing non-white players from getting a chance (other than the incumbents; Habana, Pietersen and Beast, all of whom were part of the team when he took over); he also loved certain players, and CJ Stander, WP Nel and Josh Strauss play overseas now because competing against Schalk Burger, Willem Alberts or Jannie du Plessis meant that you would never get a look in; do you not remember the accusations of "jobs for buddies" that plagued Heyneke towards the end of his era? Do you not remember how the same people who had protective employment (du Plessis brothers, Schalk, Matfield) were the same people who were blamed for our loss to Japan? You can blame the quota system all you want for Reinach, but Heyneke did more harm to SA rugby than the quota system during his time. He needed 3 players FFS, and didn't even have to find them, yet he still cocked it up.

Was very good for one year in Super Rugby, quite average besides that, never was a big fan but I do hear he's playing well.. Does really REALLY love to kick 🙈

His super rugby performances were actually quite good(some were brilliant). He was a huge reason the sharks beat the crusaders with 14 men for example. He was even the Bok incumbent until he got two serious season ending knee injuries in a row. Played brilliantly when the Boks beat England at Twickenham. Sports fans really have the shortest memories and use emotion rather than facts to make judgements.

@@smokenyx8924 first of all silly child, wheres the proof? just like Habanas supposed 10.4 when he himself claimed 11.00. second, for those that are educated in sport, there is a clear difference between quick and fast, at the time they played together Spies was the fastest in the Bok squad (10.7), but there was no way he has Habana's acceleration. I would try to elaborate a bit further but it would be wasted on someone like you.
